C'mon you can't get a certain answer to this question using the IC. Tell him that.

The girl knows the truth and shes the one to say it....otherwise you have no idea and it would be wrong to pretend you do


You can't possibly know from this or any answer since from whose point of view does the view of the abortion come from...you don't know what she felt about it....and you and he won't know unless she tells you or you get access to her medical records

I find that Yi is very good at giving unequivocal answers when it wants to. This reading is not only Not an unequivocal answer but to me it doesn't even say Yes in a round about way. 42 is increase. If you'd asked if his girlfriend was pregnant and got this answer, I'd have said - yes, it does seems like it. But you asked if she had an abortion and none of the answers fit that scenario to my mind. Thanks sure anyone can ask what they want.....but if this site is being used to 'give readings' some kind of ethical base in giving that reading is necessary since for example it is not known what the consequences might be if you were to tell your friend his girl had had an abortion...he may be angry and accuse her...upset her..., and all this when actually there is no way of knowing from the answer if she has had one or not. if she has kept it private she no doubt has good reason.

I trust you (and the friend) have the intelligence not to run off to your friend and say "hey...yeah she had an abortion...this guy on a forum said so". I know you have more intelligence than that.

To me too it sounds something like an abortion, or miscarriage.
Part of the question is if there was a baby, and 42.2 seems to say yes.
When there are 4 lines, I always look at the 'entering' line of the next hexagram.
In this case it's line 7.3, carrying dead bodies.
From line 42.6 I'm wondering if there was a health problem with the girl, or the baby.
Heart problem maybe? Heartbroken? Not sure.
I've often found that lnes 42.5 and 42.6 together show an imbalanced relationship.
For sure line 42.6 says "someone strikes/assaults him". Sounds ominous.

I don't think this reading is saying anything about what this girl did. I think it is warning you that getting involved may come back to bite you in the butt. It is saying DANGER!! DO NOT GET INVOLVED!!!! My personal take on line 6. I've received this line before when asking questions about other people's personal lives. Sometimes, it's just not our business. 7 to me in this position could mean someone is about to raise h*** here. Just my experience, but 42.6 anywhere is a red flag to me that there is something wrong on my end.

At risk of being redundant, I am so certain that 42.6 is a warning to you. I received this line over and over and over when asking about a particular something that I shouldn't have been focusing on. I don't think it was just because I was prying, but the inherent danger later became apparent. There is something here maybe you do not see, behind you, like watch your back. And there was a second and third party involved in this dilemma too, although they were not involved in the questioning. Had to do with a couple though. Seems like there is a lot of similarity to your line of questioning and mine. Anyway, I am quite certain if I had not heeded the warning, I'd be in a big deep pile of poo right now. In fact the very line of questioning was dangerous for me. I've also found this line to be associated with emotional injury. Insults, mocking, yelling etc. Very unpleasant. I didn't see it coming though. I very strongly urge you to watch your own back here. Ya know how it is with couples. Ya get involved in any way, and in the end, they both end up hating you.
