Shall I go or not go there? What is the best choice for my highest good? 13.1.2

Hello I am here again with my concern. I am travelling with my boyfriend late this month. There will be my niece birthday and I previiously said to my brother I will be there to participate. I was ready also to stop my trip earlier and go there. I live abroad from my country and so there are only this familys gatherings to meet each other´. At the time of booking the flight I was thinking though: Why? Do I really want to go there? I am the only one to travel to meet my brother ( the only left of my family) he never moves to me. And besides that I have not been inviting to spebd Christmas by him ( mainly by his wifes family) for three years so far. He wants me to be there because for hi sego, because i am the only of his siblings who still have a relation with him. As you can imagine is also an effort of money for me. So I drew this casting and it sems that I am the one to blame because I have put cynical ideas or doubts into the relationship. I cast another reading and I got 39.1. I would like some insight from more experienced people with I ching. Thanks

44. Seems to emphasize your not wanting to get sucked in but also maybe you are a bit curious and wouldn’t mind seeing what people are up to.

All in all these lines seem to mirror you current state of mind. Nothing sounds like it’s a matter of your “highest good” to attend. If it were me I’d call your brother and explain that it’s a lot of money and your not really up for it. You may then find that when you hear his voice you suddenly really would like to go or you may realize there really isn’t any reason why you should and it’s no big deal to cancel. You could even mention that you would like to see him sometime, however, and would he like to have you come for Christmas?

Hello Rosada, thank you for your explanation. You described very well the feelings I have right now.I have booked the flight to go there. What helped me do it was that that the price to go back to the country where I live was much higher (I had not booked it in advance) and I will take a chance also to visit a friend who is in a bit of trouble now . In one message my brother understood the situation and said not to worry, But the problem stays. Maybe it is just me because I would feel regrets. The Christmas thing is also part of my ego. I am not christian though I believe in a less dogmatic GOD so I dont care to go there

this is an old thread but oddly enough I cast 39.1 and 13.1.2 in short order around a situation also and curious what connection develops between those casts.

Maybe pretty simply like...you don't really want to, thats reason enough.
