Should I consider applying to the Finance Director position?

Hexagram 39.4.5.6 to 56
Line 4 says going forward leads to some sort of obstruction or trouble, but line 5 says “friends arrive” so not sure what Hexagram 39 is saying as these lines sound quite opposite. I think line 6 says to going forward leads to trouble as well. However, Hexagram 56 hints it is okay to explore the opportunity?


Should I look for another job?

Hexagram 43.1.3 to 47
Line 1 says it would be a mistake to go look for another job. And Line 3 hints against it as well. I am really frustrated since I started this job in May as there is no one to learn from/teach or even collaborate with because of the company culture and lack of competency from employees. The only good thing about this job is that allows me the flexibility to take computer science class in the evening since I trying to transition from Finance to Computer Science and eventually break into the job field.

I more or less agree with your interpretations. 39.4.5.6 > 56 shows that it's not possible at the moment, it won't work out. 56 does not show opportunity, it shows someone without a home. I agree with your take on 43.1.3 > 47. Looking for a new job now is a bad idea, it would be a mistake leading to exhaustion.

Thanks, I never thought about hexagram 56 as "without a home" but as a constant traveler. I passed on the opportunity due to the fact that I felt I could not do justice to the role with my current class schedule.
