Should I get an attorney ASAP? 5.4

Hello!

I am in an extremely stressful, precarious situation regarding my apartment that is almost completely out of my control. I received a reading as well as advice here to be still, which I did to the best of my ability. The situation has not resolved itself but the stress continues to mount. I’m sensing irritability from multiple parties.

Should I get an attorney now? 5.4. I feel like I’m in the pit of blood, but am I being told to wait in the chaos or that getting out of the pit means getting an attorney? I’m so uncertain.

You are being told to get out of the pit.
(a pit can refer to a building. 'pit house')

So, is it saying "get out of this bad situation and move." ?
I'm inclined to think this.
There are some situations one cannot 'fix' other than by getting out of them.

I'd suggest talking with someone with a tenants rights organisation or city official before getting a lawyer. Their feedback should help.

Sounds like you're waiting in fear and you should do whatever you need to do to get back to reality - so consulting with an attorney just to find out what your actual rights are in the situation (and not necessarily to start a lawsuit) sounds to me like a sensible move.
You might also do what ever you can to literally get out of this scary space - like go for a walk, focus on other things etc. The next line up in a reading can often give us a clue as to what to do next and 5.5 suggests one way to wake up from this nightmare is to have a good meal with friends.

Hi leighl,

Sorry to hear that your apartment situation is getting worrisome?

I read 5.4 as a 'prepared' waiting ~ well resourced for the anticipated action to come. Discreetly taking Moss Elk's and/or Rosada's advice seems like a good way to get prepared.

If what is happening is almost completely out of your control, then waiting in preparedness may be your best option?

Can you say more about the backstory?

I hope this is helpful!

Hello Radio [I like the sound of that],
I'm curious to know your reasoning in seeing 5.4 as meaning 'prepared' waiting. Is that because the fourth line is often a teacher or guide?

Thanks, rosada ~ I used Minford’s i-Ching for Hexagram 5 ~ Waiting:

Yin in Fourth Place

Waiting
In blood.
Leave the Cave.

On the Image

Follow the Flow,
Listen.

"Yin Line in Yin Place. With this Line, writes Legge, the Hexagram passes from the Lower to the Upper Trigram, entering the realm of Danger, of strife and bloodshed. Retreat is essential. One must escape from the Cave, from the Pit, where the enemy threatens such damage. The Cave, comments Zen Master Zhixu, is the world of delusion, from which one now emerges to true perception, listening with compassion (following “the Flow”). Delusion gives way of its own accord to the realization of Enlightenment. The Cave, writes Magister Liu, is a realm of Darkness. To escape from it, the help of Others is needed. Only with that help is it possible to leave the Cave and avoid injury from Yin Energy. The Leader, writes Professor Mun, should stay calm and upright and wait for a chance to escape from a difficult situation."

So, yes, I see line 4 indicating the need for help/guidance from others (tenant rights groups, attorneys, etc) ~ in preparation for a (needed) move. Gaining resources now will, hopefully, help leighl move on her own terms, according to an orderly process.

My follow-up question on the backstory is meant to help determine how ‘urgent’ the situation is from a timing perspective?

Thank you all for your responses. Let me shed a little bit more light on the backstory:

Someone died in my apartment a few months ago. My former roommate and I moved out but are now being kept on the hook for the rent there. I am physically out of the apartment but legally bound to it even though I am already in a new, more expensive place. Pit of blood is that apartment alright.

I did decide to contact an attorney in part from the helpful interpretations kindly given here. I'm not sure how this will all play out but will follow up on this thread. I feel Yi has advised me to keep waiting for months now, which has in a way been the easier path as I've felt confused and paralyzed by the whole thing.

I also asked Yi if I should pay a small amount to the landlord and received 21.3.5 > 13, which mentions legal proceedings. As of now I am content with having at least contacted an attorney for more information.

Thanks again everyone.

Hi All,

I wanted to come back and update this thread on how events have played out. As a reminder, in December I asked what I could do to make this situation progress and got a very stubborn 52. Turns out there was nothing I really could do. I contacted an attorney immediately after writing this post in early January, two actually. The first one was confident he could help, but something about his demeanor made me hesitate. The very next day we heard there was some serious interest in the apartment, which was really exciting. I felt that somehow contacting the attorney stirred up some new energy in the situation or something. That ultimately fell through though. It took the second lawyer several weeks to respond to me. I didn't follow up with her.

Finally, this week the landlord contacted us with another serious prospect. I had a feeling that this could be it. I asked Yi if it was-- 40.2.3.4 > 15. RELEASED. We are finally, officially released from this lease. What a liberating hex to receive. Somehow, I knew I would. Yi is funny that way. Not getting the lawyer ultimately saved us a fair amount of money.

I'm not sure if there is anything to learn from this series of posts, but I am excited to share the good news anyway!

Actually they would be a lot more helpful if they were on the right thread. The 52uc thread was just left, ignored, not updated or acknowledged.

.

 yes you did here

https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/fri...about-how-the-pair-relates-to-my-reading-52UC

You got fullsome replies but didn't respond at all so I assumed it was something that just couldn't have any relevance to you so you entirely dismissed it. Isn't that the thread to update on for the people who responded there ?

I don't understand why you just ignored that one altogether where you were answered and then 'update' here ? It would be nice for those who answered you fully on the 52uc to have some kind of feedback at least !

If you think about it any future people looking out 52uc answers aren't going to be any the wiser about what happened because how are ever they going to find an update of 52 uc on a 'should I get attorney 5.4 thread ?'

I don't get it. I did wonder what we had said wrong in the that thread that you just left it, no acknowledgement, nothing at all, then started another thread. I thought 'oh well I won't bother to answer her again' then see you updated it here. It seems very strange to me.

Are you going to update that thread ? If not I will copy over what you said here. If that thread isn't updated I consider it an absolute waste of time that I bothered to answer at all because there is no outcome and it is just not helpful for the archives or anyone.

You may think this a lot of fuss if you aren't someone who replies regularly here. But if you did respond regularly you would soon get fed up of people who just ask for help and walk away without so much as a nod of thanks, like the 'thanks' button for example. It isn't as if people expect fulsome thanks every time but just walking away is rude. If you asked someone on the street for help and they gave you directions would you just walk off and then go and tell someone else how you found the directions they gave you ?

Sorry that was a bit of an OTT rant there, and you do usually respond/update your threads...but not the 52uc thread and then it seemed even weirder to me, since to be honest I was miffed, that thread was just dumped unacknowledged, that you come on this thread to talk about that reading

 it baffles me
