Should I go it alone or partner with a particular person --- 50.1 >14

I'm lookıng to start ay business and been thinking of discussing it with someone who may be very beneficial to the process as he has some key resources at his disposal. I asked iching if I should go it alone or ask this person's partnership and got 50.1 > 14. Not sure how to interpret it as it relates to my question. Please help...

Line one moving of hexagram 50 speaks of overturning the cauldron so as to remove any bad contents. It also says it's okay to take a concubine for the sake of having a son. The line does not speak of partnership but rather of someone more lowly, who can be used to attain an end. Do you think that is a good picture of what's going on here?
