The time for 5 is a short time, ruling only 90 days. Started in heaven (from May 1st to June 16) and will end in Water (June 17 tu July 31)

Lines 1, 2 are in the past (line 1.. from May 1 to May 15, aprox.; line 2 from May 16 to May 31)

Line 3 is in the present (from June 1 to June 15). A dificult situation, like have your army stocked in the mud. Risk of acting with precipitation... doing that, pitfall would come. What you need is remain calm; don't act, but gather inner straight to be ready when the right time would come.

Line 5 will be active in the future (from July 1st to July 15 aprox). In that time, the moment for action wouldn't be at hand; but you could enjoy the time, give you some rest without deviation form your goal.

And of course, again hex 2 as tendential. Taking or not the Path of Wisdom affects everything in our lifes. In that sense, is wise not to take a decision on long term relationships before you decide if you'll follow or not that Path.

i agree with you. Thanks. I think i am on Path. Like i said, i learn shin shin toitsu aikido 12 years. They call it " ki aikido", or "zen on wheels". How deep i am on Path, how persistent, that is a question!
Can i ask you other questions, cause i have to make some very important life decisions this time, and still have "problem" with hex 1 and 2?

Ah, well - that's useful information. So you've been waiting for four years, and when you ask the Yi if it's good to stay in a long-term relationship with her, it tells you the situation is one of waiting.

On the one hand, Hex 5 is quite positive - lots of understanding comes in in this kind of waiting. Is that what's been happening? Do you understand yourself or her or relationship better because of this?

On the other hand, you describe the relationship as a cold war. If that's how you feel about it, why are you asking questions about staying in the relationship? Why aren't you asking questions about how to get out of it?

Getting some order

Hi Alex

In traditional teachings, consulting Yi Jing has it's own proper order, as anything in Reality.

One traditional Law that had been ignored persistenly in Western's aproaches to Yi Jing, is that it answer from general to particular. The first answer gives the general description; from that you can do more concrete questions.

Another traditonal Law ("2 heavens law") ignored is that any microcosmical manifestation is just like an "eco" from macrocosmical changes. So, is better starting with macrocosmical questions than microcosmical questions.

Of course, Yi Jing answer every question. So, if you don't follow this aproaches, you get an aswer as well. But... you gain clarity if you follow it.

If this is right in general, is more accurate when the changes in your life are "BIG" changes. A metaphora: a concrete questions could be "Should i move this boat to North or to West". You could get an answer. But following this is like: a) What are the macrowawes in the ocean now? b) Where would be mayor storms? where would be calm ocean? c) is land far away? d) how is my boat sitiation? e)how many gas I have?... then, sumarazing all that information, you could decide how to face the actual navigation.

In traditional teachings, are 3 "levels" of questions: a) Global diagnosis (macrocosmical) points to your Path in Life in general; b) Diagnosis of 3 mayor issues or fields (emotional, labor not as job but as activity in external world, and spiritual... this is a microcosmical level but general); c) Concrete questions (microcosmical and particular)


Sorry all this bumbling... but it was necesary to explain the next sugestion:

Start a dialogue, following this order:
a) Global Diagnosis of my Time (level 1)
b) General Diagnosis of my emotional time (level 2)
c) General Diagnosis of my labor time (level 2)
d) General Diagnosis of my spiritual time (level 2)

After that, you could ask particular situations/doubts/choices (level 3)

Each answer should be interpreted taking in mind the interpretations of questions of higher levels. I mean, a concrete answer, should take in mind the situations described in levels 1 and 2. So, you can adscribe any concrete question to one of the 3 mayor issues (emotional, spiritual or labor)

And of course, this means that you cast the first question, and interpret it; then ask the 2nd question and interpret it.. and so on. Many times, tha answers give you better ideas to formulate the next questions. Is a larger, and to some more complicated, way... but clarity is gained in general most of the times

I believe the future has been include in everything in the nature just like any digit, words, animal's action, etc.

Yes, for a living, i am musician(guitar player, composer, writing lyrics...etc) and astrologer(western astrology). I record other musicians for money. Also, i have studying psichology, but that is not my job. I can`t say i am succesful in music, like i would like. Is that enough information for you.

If I am correct then i will going to forecast, and if i am not correct that I need to exchange some relations of "六神" (six of Gods), "六亲" (six of people) and others.

well, I think my opinion is correct for you.

Your "her" has got so much worry about it is difficult to relate with your family, almost with your parent.

But she is very miss you and will be back.

Come on, you should touch her , and the best time is since right now to 5th. June. You could touch her till August. If you could not within this time, it has some problem for "her" going back.

I've just read through your reply to Alex' question; I find it very interesting. I also got hexagram 5 undivided when I consulted the Yi about what to do relating to my relationship with my girlfriend(ex-girlfriend so to speak). I broke up with her at new years because she played game with me; telling me would move in with me, but withdrawing it 2 days before(did it many times) I was so disappointed, so insulted, I felt I had no choice any more. When I divided about what to do for the first time I got hexagram 9 Hsiao Chu with line 1, 5 and 6 changing. After we had been apart for awhile I divided about how to proceed; got hexagram 26 Ta Chu undivided- so I decided to hold back which was also how I felt, then after a time I got hexagram 5 Xu, undivided. The way I read it is that I will just have to wait, but she will be back, and will come of her own if I keep my mind open for it. But time is moving on, it's been nearly two months now, more than one month without us seeing each other or communicating at all. In my anxiety for us loosing the whole thing I divided again about what the waiting was all about; whether I should wait before I act, or just wait for her- I got hexagram 63 line 2 changing. So I guess "Don't pursue".. Or does anyone have a better interpretation, I'll be glad to hear.

Never forget that your own expectations and your own attitude are very important in shaping all future events.

I agree with Jesed that you are now around line 3 moving in hexagram 5. You feel bogged down in the mud. That's why you asked Yi this question. But there's no danger here. There is no emergency of any kind.

The next step is eat, drink, and be merry, Alex. Have a party! A lot of tension builds up when we are forced to wait by external circumstances or other people. Be careful not to lose your temper.

That's interesting. Never noticed the date. Kratos revived this thread -- and with good reason!

Hexagram 5 represents a kind of waiting that can actually bring about what it is waiting for. Our expectations do indeed create our future.

Since you got H26 with no moving lines and H5 with no moving lines, Kratos, my best advice is to have better plans for yourself. Your ex-girlfriend is too scared to move in with you, otherwise she wouldn't have turned away so many times. Can you accept this?

Oh yes, certainly there is all this reason telling me to just drop her once and for all, but still there is a factor more important- the factor is I love her, and I know she loves me, although she did this. I don't seem to get her out of my head, or heart. I know she's afraid of me, afraid because she feels very small when we are discussing something and so forth, feels my personality overpowers her. I've been trying as good as I can to lessen her fear, searching my own inner self, constantly trying to improve my way of handling things. And I have lessened her fear, but just not enough for her to move in with me. I know she meant it when she said it, and for some time after, but near to christmas the cold feet took her once again and that stupid thing happened. What I am a bit curious about is hex 63 with moving line 2, which is what I got when I asked for more clarity concerning what the waiting was all about.

What I am a bit curious about is hex 63 with moving line 2, which is what I got when I asked for more clarity concerning what the waiting was all about.

She wants to feel protected, not exposed. She wants to feel as if hidden behind a screen, not as if she has lost her privacy.

There is really a lot going on here, Kratos. A woman or any person can feel uncomfortable for so many different reasons. Best to honor her repeating truth that something isn't quite right. Maybe together you two can identify the obstacles and see your way through them.
