Should I still go after this person?

Good evening everyone, I hope everyone had a lovely day! I actually happened to have done another set of readings yesterday (this one, however on a different topic), and I was hoping to get feedbacks on it because I'm still very new to Yi and I Ching.

Basically, there's been a person I've been pining over for awhile, let's call him person J and this person is actually one of my good buds. I've confessed to person J and well, it turns out he just wasn't ready for a relationship and was still trying to figure out what type of person he would want to be in a relationship with. Therefore he didn't really know if he could've see me in the same light I saw him. In short, I was turned down. And now here I am, still pining after the same person because I'm not sure how to really move on and find another person to suit my needs just as well because as far as I've noticed, I'm just either a really picky gal and/or I unhealthily attach myself to romantic interests.

Therefore yesterday I did 2 different readings for myself regarding the same person:

1. What insight could you give me in regards to my prolonged feelings towards this person?

In my opinion, because I don't know much about Yi and I Ching, it seems as if the feelings will diminish overtime because of hexagram 41? Perhaps it means that I'm in a stagnant situation and I'm not opening myself up to new opportunities like I should be? I was rather confused with this one so please give me feedback on it.

2. Should I continue to pine for this person?

I think this reading made my interpretation of the last one even more clear, except this reading itself was a lot more easier to interpret itself. I think there's great potentials in searching for partners within my environment but however I am keeping myself in a stagnant position by pining over this person. Therefore I should move on from this energy by finding someone else new. But overall both readings were still not 100% clear to me so I would love to have some feedback!

The feelings you have are good ones though they don't always make life easy for you, comes down to how you handle them, which I think was the next question

15.3.5 - 8
Impressions are pining is a no, you have good feelings so this is not a good way to handle them, it's an impediment to the union you're seeking (doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic relationship - just an impediment to the relationship in general) there's actions you should take, you need not be aggressive just forthright, perhaps there's unfinished business between the two of you? Things left unsaid e.t.c??

Both readings make me think you have a good understanding of the situation and it's saying just be reasonable and proactive, 15 is compared to 16 which can be a bit like being in the clouds, lot's of desires and expectations, 15 is more grounded, like yeah, what did you expect, you know this.

Anyway those are just some guesses.

Interesting take on it! @Just_a_Traveler I'm not sure if I could say there's unfinished business there however... because I've felt I've already said what I needed. Could you specify perhaps what you mean by that? And what you mean by reasonable and proactive?

Hi hasu_z, I'm an IC beginner and wanted to ensure the thread didn't get lost since no ones answered yet, currently my take on hexagrams are based on either my experiences or what I've read, with that said my impression of 15.3.5 was making an effort towards a goal without either seeking to be rewarded for it or being too proud and thus holding back, 15 itself is usually associated with looking at the facts and reality of a situation, so I'm interpreting it as be real about what you want and can expect from him in terms of a relationship whatever type that is if one at all and being direct with him about that, basically take action. Since you mention pining I wondered if this was a task you have yet to complete at this time.

This is all a guess though, with that said 15 definitely says to me no, don't pine, as pining suggests wishing, desiring, 16ish things (I get 16 a lot) and you didn't get this, you got 15 the opposite of pining.
