hi,

one of my cats (the girl) is very ill. She has abscesses on her head that burst every couple of days then the new one starts. She is on antibiotics and her temp is down but she won't eat and she just seems so unwell, just skulking in the corners.

I asked what do I need to do for my cat (to help her get well) and got 14.2.6 > 55

I have no idea how to interpret this in this context. Actually because I am so worried, I can't really think straight so please help me see what this hex is saying?

Thank you so much

I will get to the hexagram in a minute, but because I am a cat lover, and have owned and still own many cats, let me ask: Can the vet give her IV fluids, nutrients and antibiotics? This can be a life saver and a total game changer. The appetite will be stimulated by the syringe feedings (our clinic uses AD Critical Care ) and the IV fluids and antibiotics will get into her faster, and rejuvenate her. I have turned many cats around by this aggressive care.

The reading: Hex 14.2.6 >55:

14: Possession in great measure
  • Line 2: One has the tools to help but what is needed is a direction.
  • Line 6: Here at the top he gets the protection of heaven itself. Overflowing luck.
Hex 55: Be not sad, be like the sun at midday.

I think you need a fast-track, aggressive solution for your cat, along the lines I have suggested, from my own experience. Sometimes it is too hard to simply give these things orally. ---What is the cause of the abcesses? How old is the kitty? I think if treated right she can recover and enjoy the zenith. * Blessings and prayers out to you and to her.*

Wish I could help, cats are my favorites...one thing that comes to my mind is that there is a lot of something, too much of one aspect of things or symptoms, perhaps that is something to investigate and work upon...or maybe you are overdoing with something?
What you need to do could be seen as there is a lot you can do, may be you are doing it already and perhaps Yi is telling try not to worry too much?
I hope she gets better, d.
p.s. the cat is under supervision, I assumed..vet, fluids etc

Thank you all. Cat woke up much improved, back to her normal routine! Came onto my bed to wake me up, jumped on the windowsill until I did, came downstairs, had a munch of food followed by tablet and then went out. Looks almost back to her old self except for the scar and matted fur on top of her head. Phew! I didn't do anything differently, but she did! She had taken a whole day yesterday to rest. Good clever girl. I hope she'll be all right now. We only have 1 antibiotic pill left.
Fingers crossed that this is it, but I still don't understand what the hex was telling me?

i believe that 14 was saying you are precious
to each oher and your normal abundant state
- blessing that it is would soon be restored

it was a relax everything is better than you
think casting - I like Pocossin got the impression
of needing to keep the cat warm - ie heat

Too much worrying as she was too much down - seemingly so?
Good news!:claps:

Yes, it might have been reflecting your fears at the time. It is obvious that she DID respond to antibiotics given orally, so my advice obviously would only be if the poor kitty had continued poorly.

It turns out that "the wagon for carrying loads in all directions" in line 2 - which I had thought might be aggressive vet hospitalization, as I had to do with my own kitty - was in this case the home care you were giving. So it was right to say, as it did in the 6 th line , "overflowing luck".
So glad she is better!!!

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your care and good thoughts! Cat seems to be better. I've now started cleaning her wound with tea tree solution which I really should have done from the start as that's what I tend to do for her brother who gets into scrapes on a regular basis. Wound seems to be healing well, touch wood, cat in fairly good spirits, and starting to get back to normal behaviour including fetching a mouse from the field last night because apparently, we were running low..

Much love to you all from both cat and I
