I'm trying to change the energy of my surrounding environment. First off I smudged my new home after it had been cleaned and then painted by the landlord. Then when I moved in I smudged the outside environment as there are another 2 units with lots of people coming and going. One girl in particular has got her nose out of joint because she had to give up the parking spot which is actually for my unit because she thought I wouldn't realise....just acting like a silly child.
What if I continue to smudge the common areas to get rid of any toxic energy Hexagram 48.3>29

Hex 29 - it is a bit of Rough Terrain I guess I'm working with - incidentally I'm guessing this girl is about 28/29 years old. I'd like to add here, as it's just come to light by observation. There's a feud going on between the other 4 tenants and this silly girl - think I've walked into an Abyss going to be careful I don't get caught in the crossfire!!!!

I'm looking at Line 3 differently now - I think it's good to keep smudging although I maybe the only one that 'drinks' from the clearing. That's is sad, for them.

Becalm, I'd say the line is advising you to take some measures so that the well is cleared and ready to be used for you. Something should be done, and it can be the smudge.

Thank you marybluesky - you put into words what I was thinking and couldn't articulate. That really is the idea, to clear it for meeting my needs of a clear and harmonious space.
So far it seems to have stirred up the 'negative' energy of the environment which I've seen many times before when using Sage burning (smudge).
Last time I wanted to get rid of some awful inconsiderate neighbours it took a couple of months but I could see the effect it was having on them and they finally moved on.
Hopefully with the support of the real estate and owner it will happen sooner.

On Friday night they were still noisey although it had toned down a lot but I still decided to smudge, The smudge stick just wouldn't light except for a very small piece that was barely smoking......all day yesterday and last night as quiet as quiet (as it should be).

It's been fairly quiet since last Saturday and just now one of the low key neighbours, a young man of just 19, came to let me know it's his birthday and he's having a couple of friends over, gave me his number in case they get too noisey and I can text him!! This young man and his gf haven't talked to me since they all got into trouble.....so that's a bit of a turn around.
Yesterday a heavy parcel arrived on my door step which belonged to one of the other neighbours, they weren't home so I left a note on their door that it was there......it was gone this morning so I assume they got it, maybe that's all it took as an olive branch. I guess they could have thought I could have kept it and they'd be none the wiser.....who knows but I really hope it continues to get better.

Just saw your thread & I have much experience of smudging / clearing & things popping up afterwards.
It struck me, reading this thread, that 48 > 29 could be Yi is talking about underground water... that you are trying to clear the air by smudging, but you may have a "black stream" underneath the property, outside your door, so you need to also consider the waters & bless & ask for their clearing.
Your apartment is fine, I think the well is underneath it; but all the mixed up energy comes from underground fast flowing streams or a river.

A pendulum can be very useful to ascertain the flows of water underneath your property, specifically outside the door & the parking area. (You can actually scry this from within your home, by visualising the area & speaking it out loud & asking the pendulum to show you the flow, if you don't want neighbours to see you wandering around with a pendulum muttering!)

Shungite stones in any soil around could help, they are very good for water flow; I put them under the bath & skirting boards when i was painting / smudging my bathroom, to keep out a bad vibe that kept trying to take root again. They help water flow. (you can buy rough chips in bulk online cheaply).

Blue sage, or grandmother sage is v good for water & community / tribe issues, very good for this situation.
Mugwort (often know as Black Sage) grows by water, it shifts by transformation of consciousness, it would be excellent for you here!
Sweetgrass also v good here, just a strand, just a wisp of it's lively sweet smoke is enough.

Frankinsense / copal resin are v powerful cleaners & shifters, it'll stay gone from you if you use these! (waning moon for clearing, can combine with myhrr to bless, but I think myhrr better used alone for personal work for you use frankinsense, a small grain daily to fortify & ground spirit, to open up higher self.
Sandalwood oil & wood chips also helpful.

Juniper gets in deep, shifts, almost like a purgative way, could be used once, around the new moon, only one little strand for 5 mins from your central altar place

Cedar steadies & grounds the energy & will.

You can use your own sage, rosemary, thyme... any herb, but please do look up thr lore, connect in with the plant spirit & ask & thank

Some red clover / rose petals for afterwards, anything to symbolise what you want to manifest after you have cleared - this is VERY important, people often don't say what they want instead & then the same stuff comes back!

A mirror facing the doorway, esp if is an octogonal fung shui mirror will 'deflect' non beneficial energy.

I don't know where you are; here in Ireland, we have these ancient kingdom / property divisions called townlands that wreak havoc energetically with modern residential developments; or should I saw we have wreaked havoc by trying to impose a grid on top of the true character & history of the Land! Looking up some local history can also be v helpful, old maps too; I bet you'll find some old property divisions or field boundaries (rundale or late medieval maybe) that 'explain' the energy!

This is also useful as you can use the old (true) placenames.

Medicine people often apologize to the land spirits for thr human presence and human destruction first, then offer gifts to the land (tobacco, herbs, corn; in Ireland we offer milk & honey).

An image of water flow, like a picture of a holy well, waterfall, or stream on the back of your door could help too.

Actually just thinking, if you find a 'still' spot in your apartment, that could be where there is a well or spring; this is a good spot for a sacred water image or even a small 'altar' with a few crystals, small candle incense burner...

If the well is acknowledged & blessed, the other waters might flow more peacefully!

Really be very clear & specific about your intentions for after the smudging - you've cleared it, but then the energy / water is just flowing rapidly away - maybe ask for it to benefit all around, human & plant & insect & spirit & animal: ask for prosperity & peace & happiness & sharing of good etc amongst all the water flows under.
Also, v important; when you ask / create the new, ask for good neighbours & friends / companions to share the 'sweet water' with!

Thanks EmMacha - I don't know about the water issue BUT except for the land being flat where the block of units sit the rest of the property is sloping downwards. On one side of the units it is flat on the other side it's a sloping driveway to the parking spaces. Beyond the parking spaces is the rest of the property, which is just a grassed area big enough for a small house to be built it, but it continues to slope until the fence. My unit is at the front of the property where I can see everyone that comes and goes.
