Sore back and interview

This seems to Be a recurring thing with me. I line up interviews and somehow I become unwell and have to cancel or postpone an interview.
This time I have a sore back and with a 5 hour drive to the interview it’s not looking good for that to happen.
What if I request the interview be postponed Hex 25.2>10
Hilary’s commentary
One who is not upright commits blunders,
And it is fruitless to have a direction to go.'
So I kinda can’t stand upright for long periods so best not to drive or attend the interview.
Hexagram 10 says it’s a Risk to cancel but it’s also a Risk to drive that far for an interview anyway.
Line 2 says to me just do what I need to do and not worry about what the future holds.

This indicates things will fall into place at some point:

Legge: The second line, magnetic, shows one who reaps without having
ploughed, and gathers the produce of her third year's fields without having cultivated them for that end. To such a one there will be advantage in whatever direction she may move.

I would say you’ve pretty much assessed it correctly. If it were close by it would be a different matter. If they can’t accept a postponement you’ll have to look elsewhere. Good luck!

When I was a teen and young man I got insomnia before a few job interviews.
As the daylight arrived and I was in no shape for an interview, I heard myself thinking: "ah, I'm so relieved. I didn't want that job." then I'd doze off quickly.

Haha yes I know that feeling but this job I definitely want at this point...it could be a step up in my career.

Exactly if it was close I could probably get by with some painkillers and hope it settles for the time of the interview.
Last interview I went for about a month ago I had a smashing headache which I mentioned to the interviewer. At the end of the interview she said you’ve got the job if your references check out which they did but I declined the job as it was no better than where I was working.

That’s great news! :giggle:
I know I was pretty impressed they’re willing to do that!! Not sure how it fits in the reading but maybe the reading was just saying go for it and see what happens. I must admit during this awful job I just experienced I found it easier to speak up and say exactly what’s what. Even if that means losing an opportunity or even a job at least I’m staying true to myself. FINALLY!

I had the online interview and it went well I think. It’s pretty awkward doing it this way considering there was a panel of 5 but I could only see 2 of them.
Today I’ve realised they were looking for a specific work trait for the role and I’m not sure if I gave the impression I have it.... anyway
What do I need to know about the success of my interview
Hex 37.6>63 The role is a leadership one so I guess that covers the head of the household in Line 6 and sounds like they’ already decided the outcome Hexagram 63 but is that a decision in my favour or another’s?

I didn't get this job but they did offer me casual work.
