Sore throat

I have a very bad sore throat, and have been to see the doctor. I asked the I Ching about my medicine and got 54. I asked "what do I need to know about this to get well?" and got 44.2.3>12. Any thoughts, please? I don't know how to return your kindness...

I read this as:

The medicine is a temporary necessity.

44.2, this sounds contagious, so you want to be careful of not infecting others.

44.3, this isn't to be taken too lightly, so avoid anything which might exacerbate the condition.

12, best thing for now is to keep it in check, and be sure to get enough rest.

My thought here for Hex 44 alone is that it does indicate to me your weekness or illness is manifest and you are doing the proper thing seeing you physician. I fear you do not have confidence in this person? Unfortunately you are not in control of you health at the moment and need help.

Hex 44.2.3.>12 to me indicates the process of treatment is needed and the medicine is or may be the proper treatment but it will take some time for your system to respond to its curative potential,time is necessary for healing and if the mind finds fault with the treatment process the cure may be inhibated through this rejection of your own will.

Stay secure in the knowledge you have done the right thing and continue to treat your self with kindness and accept knowledge from one whom is trained in the ways not known to yourself.

Thank you - I was afraid that the 54 meant that the medicine was not the right one. I chafe at having to rest, but I do know that I will have to do just that. Thanks again.
