Why are things not working out for me?

Hexagram 31.4 to Hexagram 39

So I-ching is implying I need to persist here and follow my heart - that I must stick with what I believe in. 39 just suggests that there is some obstable in my path, that either I have created or have fallen before me. Not sure how to handle that in regards to 39.



What will I do after my internship ends?

Hexagram 34. I don't see how this hexagram answers my question. I guess this is implying using the knowledge from my internship to persist in finding a full-time opportunity somewhere else.

I'm going on a hunch from reading the I Ching here... but is there someone who's entered your life who's in a bad place? Maybe they're slowing you down and causing you to stop moving forward. Or maybe it's your own fear of being stuck that's keeping you stuck. Whatever the case is, there's something you need to ignore/move past and regain your momentum. Due to the mountain in the lower trigram (consistant) I believe it's also saying that you have a solid foundation on which to "make things happen"

What will I do after my internship ends?

Hexagram 34.

This one's pretty vague, but good. You might want to ask a followup question. The Power of the Great. After your internship, you will move forward and achieve power and success.

Well, there was a girl - we never met. There was some on and off glances between us. I tried to get her to look my way when i was in front of her so I could talk but she looked away with averted eyes and walked the other direction. Seen her rarely, and tried to approach her but didn't seem open to it. But I was referring to my professional career, although I guess that was on my mind too when I asked the question. I do have a solid foundation or experience to 'make things happen' but don't have a high enough gpa for the job. I have tried networking, and talking to alumni but things aren't moving smoothly.

How do I remove this obstacle?

I guess 32.5 says I am continuing to let ppl to get in the way of my life and future goals and I should filter them out. Once I filter these things out I am back on track. Hexagram 28 says movement in any direction is good so I should continue to undertake any projects that come my way.

Perhaps this is you building the issue too much, you know - overly stressing about it as you have the big need of putting your capacities into use. Watch out for signals, carefully ask about possibility to remain there or elsewhere but try to be more relaxed about it...show confidence but don`t be pushy - in that sense.

Interesting enough that LiSe interprets hex 39 as Cold feet and 31.4 as being spontaneous, creative, maybe a bit crazy?

Thanks for responding. My friends said I am worrying too much about the internship as well. It's not easy since I've been interning at the company for 11 months when there is no full-time opportunity nor have I heard back from the few interviews I have had. But i agree with the confidence part and not being pushy.

In regards to the second question, I never saw hexagram 31.4 as being spontaneous. That's new. I always saw hexagram 1 as being spontaneous and creative. Thanks though. I'm not sure if I'll get another chance or if I'll she her again - but I guess everything happens for a reason so life moves forward whether we choose to accept it or not.

Maybe you are taking it a bit to hard...depression tends to make one take things out of proportion and even the smaller setback brings one down to the far greater extent then usual..It could have been just a case of awkward, cold feet, misjudging the situation. Maybe give it another, lighter and creative try if you care enough to.
I mean, if it was all on glaces...hard to give it much of an valid opinion.

thanks, dragona but i think it is better to accept that shes gone whether she was interested or not. Maybe I made a mistake or maybe I didn't, but right now, I guess its best for me to try to move forward.
