Testing... 1,2,3...

I know I shouldn't do it. But I just couldn't resist.
I suffer from a chronic pain in my neck and back.
I know it will not get any better. So I wanted to be smart, and asked the IC:
How can I get rid of my pain?
It answered with Hex 37.1.2.3.5 turning to Hex 4.
Now I think I understand what it means by Youthful folly, I can take a hint
But what does the family have to do with it?

I think it's actually very relevant to get 37 here, because the lines
show exactly the way to deal with immaturity (4). If order is
established from the start (37:1) then that would lead straight
to 53 (slow and steady progress, stability). Then you got line 2,
immaturity/whims should not be indulged, one should just go
about one's duties. After that, we've got more severity advised,
in line 37:3, and this time it's even stricter. However, all these
warnings for strictness have been surpassed, and although we
are dealing with a lot of immaturiy/whims, there comes line
37:5 to indulge them, like a good doting father. So, where the
'strictness of the mother/woman' has failed to have any result,
the last thing one would want would be the father to come along,
and instead of supporting the strictness of the mother, in trying
to make the unruly child behave, he actually gives his love (at
the wrong moment). And hence the child wins (4).

Can i also add here that the initial 37 perhaps shows the right
way to go about your chronic pain. You're probably doing all the
right things anyway, so persevere in those. Perhaps your family
is helping you? Another point could be that it's advising you to
be the 'adult', and keep total control of the situation, with
practicality and concrete steps, and perseverance. Don't know
if any of this has any relevance, but in any case im wishing you
good luck with it!

hex 4 maybe simply a state of not knowing rather than being foolish in a negative sense. Do those around you, who are close to you, know about this chronic pain ? just wondering if this is an issue of caring or nurturing ? perhaps you feel you don't get enough of it, or have to give too much of it ? If 37 is the home in all senses, where you are home with yourself, how could what is home to you help you ? Just an idea. Family doesn't have to be biological family, maybe just the group you have an inner connection with, even the medical people who help you, or even just your sense of home within yourself. I guess when one is in pain home is the best place to be anyway. Consider whats really home to you ? Are you there ? Being 'home' sounds like where to address the pain anyway...if that makes sense...maybe more security may help. BTW I'm not for a moment suggesting its all psychological, I'm just trying to think what 37 may be about here.

4 doesn't draw conclusions, and 37 is holistic with healing approaches. Picture yourself without the chronic pain, rather than reinforcing its permanence with negative affirmations. We are creatures of habit, and pain can become a most troubling friend and lover.

Hex 37 says that a woman's place is to remain in the home and to attend to the duties that entails, so regarding your pain it suggests that you just have to grin and bare it as there is not much that can be done about it. Hex 4 suggests that in the future you may well learn of some new medicines or therapies that deal with your type of problem.

Hex 37 is wind over fire and I was wondering if applied heat had any affect at relieving the pain?

Thank you all for your answers.
It was really immature of me to ask the IC a question that I allready knew the answer to. Maybe even more, because it isn't really a question that is bothering me.
I've had this condition since I was born, and I have accepted it, and learned to live with it for many, many years allready.

I wasn't surprised about Hex 4.
I toke that as the IC telling me that I should know better then to ask silly questions like that.

Now with your help I'm also getting Hex 37.
I've had fysiotherapy when I was a kid, and stopped it when I was getting too busy with going out and having fun.
I returned to fysiotherapy some time ago. So that is kind of returning to my 'family'.
The therapy eases the pain, just like it did when I was a kid.
The therapy also involves electricity, so there is indeed some kind of heat applied here.

Although it knows I was only testing it, it still gave me an answer that helps me.

I too suffered from chronic neck and back pain for most of my life. I was a chiropractic addict, going 4 or more times a week for some kind of relief, plus I was addicted to pain killing barbiturates for years. I've been through many healing rituals and have had large groups pray for my healing, all with no results. Now I am at least 90% better, and it took a life style change and a completely new approach.

Try to stay open to healing.

Thank you for your words and the link meng.
I was also thinking about WF words today, that it could also mean that maybe somewhere in the future a cure or medication could be found for it.
So that 4 is probably more then just the tap on the fingers I took it for.
I will study it more carefully.

But like I said, this condition is really not having a big influence on my life, or on my mood.
I am not suffering.

In spite of the fact that I was only trying to test the IC, I really learned a lot from this question.
And things are still sinking in.
