This may seem a little off topic but remember that chinese philosophiy was complex and to understand it we need to understand it completely, the whole was more then the sum of its parts, it's all connected. I use weiqi(go) and the art of war to understand martial arts , I use the art of war to understand chinese medicine, the Yi Jing to understand yin and yang, the bagua, it's complex, feel free to delete if you find convenient.
In this video I explain what go is all about, because it seems so abstract, and make comparations with games like chess and chinese chess and why they are so different.

Hey, interesting video. I haven't given much time to weiqi (or Go), but I can definitely see the concepts of war you're talking about. And I can see its connection to the I Ching through a sort of black/white, yin/yang struggle. I bet that you could apply the wisdom of the I Ching to find 64 strategies for Go, going on what you're talking about. Something that should be looked into.

I need to find a good weiqi online game...

I love Go. Played a lot in college at the coffee shop. I have not read much on the yi applied to go but I have read a book on the 36 strategems applied to game play.

Its all connected

it's all connected, when you play go you test yin and yang, 刚gang and 柔rou, firm and flexible, active and passivity(sente and gote), strong and weak(thickness. strong players, weaker players), essential and able discard(heavy and lightness) . I have currently in my possession a method that completely unifies the Yi and the game of weiqi that I will show in the appropriated time.
