63. Hey you're too blissed out to care. Its nice and warm in the bar and you are intoxicated by the company as well as the drink. Right now in this moment you have everything you ever wanted and you can't imagine ever wanting anything again, not even a toaster or a DVD player. Sometimes all you need is the air that you breathe.....

63... one realized that all before is "earthly"... and need to go beyond it. Let's leave it in the past in order to look "heavenly".

64.... after all before had been leaved behind, now one can face a new Time... a higher Time. Now one can start to learn how to consult I Ching

best wishes

Bravo Jesed!

Wonderful! Fabulous!

Are we good or what? I've been walking around grining for two days.

Thank you so much!

I think we are pretty fabulous, yes. Matts idea of using household appliances instead of coins had me chortling foolishly for some time and I may try it myself, but my TV is too heavy.

Congrats on ending Jesed, you win the prize which is a box of hexagrams. I know Hilary has some, she said people have been asking for some in her blog.

What would second level look like?

Maybe that you can only fill in one hexagram at a time? Okay, maybe two if you really feel inspired. But then you gotta trust the Universal Mind.

Are there certain numbers that we felt were particularly well defined? Like should we say that the answers to Hexagrams 1, 2 and 64 should stay the same?
When would round two start? Anytime or how about the first of the month? Maybe we'll do this once a month and each month more hexagram definitions will be repeated - like 1,2 and 64 - until ultimately we have our own classic!
I think Jesed should be the one to start it.
Right now I'm tired and just want to enjoy the after glow, but I too think this exercise is worth repeating.

Well we could work through each line of each hexagram, that would take a long time, at least a week, lol..but boy would it be a masterpiece, it would probably rival Wilhelm, Karcher, Denning, The Sorrells......We'd just have to come to some sort of peaceful agreement about royalties and whose name goes on the cover....oh and whose picture - hmmm have to be a group picture

Line by line? OMG. As soon as I read your suggestion, Void, I got this cartoon vision in my mind of something like out of Lord of the Rings where the little Hobbit triumphantly reaches the mountain's peak only to discover there is another much larger mountain right behind it, the sight of which darn near sends him screaming over the cliff!

But yeah, you're right, that would be a Worthy Goal to shoot for

Meanwhile I'm still just beaming from the fun of our first run and felt like chatting about it before it all drifts into smoke.

What did people experience while we were writing this? Big insight for me was how when I couldn't think of how to go on, someone else would pick up the thread with the perfect connect. Espeicially you, Void, with your first entry for #9 that got the ball rolling. Boy, that was the essence Helpful Assistance! Then there were times when I'd think of something to post and an interuption would happen here at home so I couldn't get to the computer before someone else had filled the slot - and always something more appropriate. Soshin, even though you had to be sort of tongue in cheek, your thought and words for 61 were just beautiful, IMO. And wasn't it fun that Hilary took 19. You own 19 Hilary!

Well. I was going to comment on everybody's individual contribution but hubby wants to use the computer and we all know about 37. and 38, ! That's another thing, don't you find yourselves recognizing the various energy states now? Like I'm So 16 Enthusiasm right now. Maybe 17 is slooow it down, uuuhm?

Love you all!

I have been mixing up 49 and 51. I always got confused about 20 and 22, but never about these two.
And then it did not seem to matter.
Interesting..
Wonder what my fuzzy brain will do with 384 lines. One big Freudian mess I guess.

LiSe, 49 and 51 rather belong as mooshed together, now that I thnk of it. transformation is often sudden and startling, "no excuses no exceptions"

like I said, I was amazed at the cleverness...it is hard to pick out the keepers (they kind of all were) but I laughed so hard at 36, and the interjection of that 62 question. priceless!

Yes, this was really fun!

No, Rosada, no tongue in cheek, at least not knowingly. It was all my bad english... ;-)

Oh, yes, Void, let's do the big one. 384 lines, what fun *that* would be!

Namaste,

Soshin

You are all so funny - I had no idea we had another blog here!! I was wondering where you all were yesterday. Obviously, you were hanging out here having a good old time! I came here by accident - opening up all these menu things on the left hand side of the site.

But not for long they rest.
Creative Unrest is stirring inside, but the way is not yet properly known.

1.6 They have a punch up in the wilderness - women watch, biding their time, sniggering at the arrogance of men.

Not noticing they get cold butts - this time of year it really gets chilly. Parading and showing off typically keeps you warm.

2.1 one of them actually passes out and falls asleep in the woods overnight. when he wakes up, it is dawn and he is face down in the hoarfrost.
Oh, no, he mutters, I think I may have a problem with alcohol.

2.2 He dusts off his scaley skin and clears his throat with a huge fiery roar. 'Right' he says to himself.. 'It is time I made some sense out of this existance of mine. I shall set off on the dragons quest for truth, and it shall yield to me the fruits of my soul' And so his journey begins, quietly, calmly, with renewed purpose, treading the Great Way in the footsteps of the legions that went before him...
