A couple of days ago in a different thread Luis brought up an extremely important important point: the importance of not understanding. This, to me and obviously to Luis, highlights the importance of allowing ourselves to admit our lack of understanding. Like a koan it will suspend our judgement of a situation. It will also point us in a different direction, that of exploring in search of understanding where on occasion the signs will unveil a different kind of understanding. As Pocossin brilliantly defined it some time ago this will be whole body understanding that will not need our mind to search for our words ( and thoughts) to define a meaning.

Haven't earned my new thank you privilege yet, Sergio, but thanks. I'll look for Luis' comments on this.

It is the basis of how I live and learn, since I am academically challenged. I can read a sentence 12 times and not understand a word. But when I experience it, with no or little preconception logged into my brain already, I can experience it as a baby. Comprehension is a matter of recognition. From where, God only knows.

64 and 63 are two ways to know, as I see it. If I know I know not yet, then there's room to grow, to keep the body and mind in a changeable and receptive state. If I know already, the cup is full, I've maxed out and shut the door behind me. I greatly prefer the 64 way of not yet.
