I despair as I write this, since I spent 3 hours looking for a single car key and I doubt it is here in the house. My car is in the shop, and I have a rental car with one key. My car has keyless ignition, so for several years, I have not been used to carrying a key. I came home and obviously brought the key in. was heading out again with my purse, dont remember if I had the key in hand or was assuming it was in my purse. before I got in the car, i took my dog for a walk. we walked through a grassy field, and then ugh, even through some pachysandra, deep flowery stuff, when he ran to another dog. I looked there, but it is hard to pinpoint a spot where we walked

to get a new key might cost 200+ and even a towing fee to the dealer. #*%#!!!!!

i asked Where is my key? 11.2.3 > 24
is it findable? 16>1.4.5 > 3

any ideas? feel like 11 and lines mean it is out there somewhere on the walk I took. though i did look twice.

16 lines not promising?

how successful will my search tomorrow Be! 5 lines 2.5 > 36

any intuitions about readings will be appreciated:duh::mad::confused::blush:

The company that made the car has a record of the key, and the rental company should be able to get a replacement key through a dealer for much less than $200. Call them and explain the situation.

Where is my key? 11.2.3 > 24

When you left the car you perhaps brought other things with you other than a purse. The key may be with them -- like one blade in a clump of grass.

Urgh !!!I know how it feels ! I have a key-less car too and by mere luck I have avoid to lock myself out of my home for several times.

I know its not really helpful, but at a first glance I read it as restore your peace ( of mind?)
either relax and re-think about where you went, what you did or perhaps such a lost is covered by the insurance of the rental car so if you can't find it there is not a big lose afterall.

16.5 makes me wonder whether is findable or not. "Persistently ill, and still does not die" sound like the car's condition at the moment

as Pocossin said, the key has a serial number and its easy for the car-rental to replace it and the lost key becomes useless.

how successful will my search tomorrow Be! 5 lines 2.5 > 36

the only hind I could see in your reading is here. Maybe it says its hidden(36) around or under something yellow ( garment or flowers etc) But also could mean to focus on another way to solve this problem.

wishing you the best :)

hi Barbara
lost keys are really frustrating so I can sympathize . . most often I find them somewhere left absent-mindedly or beneath things I moved to look for them in the first place . .
Your readings look too much like grass to me but I would look again inside the house -although I'm sure you have turned the place upside down by now . . 16/3, one yang line vanishes amidst two other ones on the edges, looks like buried beneath things or in a box? Somewhere not easy to visualize?

Bamboo,

I found this at Lise's site.

Line 2: The character ping, which I translated as 'horse and ice to cross' means to 'walk' across a river: a dry or frozen river. The ideogram is horse and ice. If the big river is suddenly dry or frozen, then take your chance, react immediately. 'He' is the yellow river. According to Hertzer, it is the horse of Xiang Yu, who gave it as a present to a ferryman.

I'm posting it because there is the "walk" word in this and also the yellow river and line's 2.5 yellow maybe is somehow connected or gives you a hint on where to search.

Thank you all so much for the beautiful intuitive hits. Alas, it remains a mystery. This morning I asked yi again if they were in the house here and it said 56.3.6.....so that sounded pretty dismal. then I asked again for the yi to level with me.....will i find them today....40.4.6....I thought that was a definite YES. but maybe it means eventually, or maybe it refers to friends coming ( locksmith) to free me and I have to give up the big toe. I did look again outside but it was not fruitful. I guess I could have raked the whole pacysandra (sp?) patch, but it is huge and deep and hard to know exactly where my dog pulled me through it on his leash.
I asked again for some teeny advice where to look and got 51.2..which also seemed fortuitous, but reading Hilary's book, I can also sense that it is out of my immediate control and that maybe the whole disturbing frustrating loss brings me to a new perspective and what I have really needed to gain from this was a deeper message about what I am relying on for "mobility" in the deeper sense, and a realization i wont go in to now.

even the locksmith was out of reach, tomoorw he comes, 180 dollars. not so terrible, but annoying. and then i read about the hikers young JOsh Fattal and his buddy, emprisoned for 21 months, with no outside contact, in Iran for the simple act of hiking. that gave me perspective. Pray for them!!

From the hexagrams that you got, I guess the lost key will appear by itself after seven days. It is in your house but you just are unable to find it.

What keeps coming to my mind about this is the word magnetism. It's there in 11, and 11.4...

The source of enthusiasm.
He achieves great things.
Doubt not.
You gather friends around you
As a hair clasp gathers the hair.

If I walked through a grassy field and suspect it may be there, I'd grab a broken speaker and drag it behind me, so the big magnet can pick up any small metal objects along the path.

Also, is there a spare key in one of those magnet key holders? People often hide them behind bumpers and such.

24.. returning to what it's unified with. Again, makes me think of a magnetic box spare key.

Could be way off but thought I'd throw it out there.

Good luck with it. May the key be with you.

waiting for a break in the weather

the sun was finally out after days of grey rainy weather!

Hi there! I was just reading this and first, I am happy that you found them. The answers were pointing at that (51.2). But I specially wanted to comment because of what you mention on the weather, and the answer you had received with 51.2, "5 lines 2.5 > 36".

When I read that, I thought of Lise's translation of 5 being "Waiting for a break in the weather", or "waiting for the rain to stop" rather than the more traditional "Waiting for the rain". So I thought the yi was also maybe telling you that you had to wait for the rain to stop (5) and/or while there was a "grey" (36) weather...

And so it was that you found them.

Ok, my two cents. I don't post often, almost never, but I'm a fluent reader and visitor . Thank you all :bows:

hello Bamboo,
unfortunately i missed the topic... i can't believe it.

i tryed to look about by considering only your first question 11-> 24 the more targeted.

11 made by kienn below and kunn above
directions: north west & south west = west
both trigram refers to open place in the country.....
so from inside your house.. where you tossed the coins... go out and stay in the west limit of the property near the house.
cenn below stay for east... from west look to east.
the key are on the ground...the key is not hidden or much covered because Kien is air.

the muatation is only in the lower trigram
cenn stay also for small bushes and lane(street....)
there are to find the key... where you stay with your feet on the lane, on the ground... between wet grass and bushes.

this would be my answer.... but it's to late.

Best of all that Bamboo came back with the answer -- that happens all too seldom. Would be great to hear the resolution of threads when there is one and knowing the practical outcome lends far more weight to the whole experience of interpretation. Thanks Bamboo and congratulations!
