What a lesson I learned - and I could sure use some help as I am reeling over the realization that it's over with the person I have had this on and off again 7 year long distance relationship. Funny - I wrote about it a few threads ago in The relationship plot thickens... with the question:

Is it advisable to wait for Bill for partnership? And received 27 (Nourishment).6>24Turning Point.

I received a very encouraging response from Willowfox as the reading was 27.6>24 Turning Point. And while Turning Point suggests renewal, in hindsight, I believe it meant renewal in a different sense. He was supposed to have called me before leaving for home, and did not - plus he was in town for 3 weeks without my knowing. I bumped into him in a restaurant next door to where I work - coincidence?
Needless to say, his lack of interest to even call me is my wake up call it's over. How could getting Hex 24 be a Turning Point for waiting for Bill for partnership?
Incidentally, I cast another reading tonight for guidance as I'm in a bit of shock over this realization he has let me go - I asked "Is it time to let go of Bill? and received 4(Youthful Folly).3.5.6>48 (The Well).

Help among kindred IC friends to clarify the confusion over this interpretation would be most helpful. The pain of learning this life lesson of loss is difficult.

Hi Laurie, some people see 27.6 as meaning you yourself are the source of nourishment, in other words you could get 'eaten up' by others needs - or alternatively you have to look to your self for the nourishment. 24 most often i find refers returning to your own way rather than someone literally returning to you, though it could sometimes be that i guess. - Hmm so that reading could be seen as that relationship as a source of emotional nourishment for you was not working and you return to your own true values where you are better placed to see what will truly nourish you in future.

As for this latest reading i confess it really stumps me  4 to 48 ? All that comes to mind esp with line 3 is not to sell yourself short - as you may have been doing with Bill - don't settle for anything less than nourishing, look honestly at your motives, was that relationship really deep enough for you - or did he just fill a gap in your life ?

Those questions are rhetorical BTW :)

Maybe someone else can cast light on 4 to 48 also ?

I saw hex 27.6 as very good, saying you can be of great benefit to others as long as you are aware of your responsibilities then you can achieve a partnership.

But now with hind sight, hex 24 also can mean getting rid of the old, the past and move on to the new. So, in this case it would mean getting rid of Bill because he is an item from your past, and that would be the turning point in your life because you would release yourself of all obligations to Bill, it would finally be over.

What I don't understand is why hex 27.6 says it okay to wait, must be something lost in the translation.

Just a note - I was in such a state last night as I was coming to terms with the realization of the truth behind this relationship that I had asked a friend to cast the IC for me as I was at work and did not have the resources to do it myself. So she cast for me, even though she does not know the IC well. Any chance this casting may have been influenced by her? Should I recast in order to find clarity? The last thing I would want to do is to add further confusion to an already confusing situation.

Hex 4.3,5,6 says not to throw yourself at this man, as it would be unfortunate for you. Listen to others and stop further contact him.

Yes Willowfox - thank you. I intuited this advice last night and now hear it loud and clear. I was second guessing myself until you wrote this. It really is time to let go. Hex 48 is about being in a well and not being able to see clearly. But in this dark place, much can be gleaned while going deep to find truth. What a lesson. I've carried this desire, longing to be with this man for 7 years - and now it is over. More gleaning to be had at least for the immediate future.
