Well, sorry if I've been asking too many questions, I tend to over think and make it my business to fix what I deem broken but unfortunately I have no patience to let things unfold naturally. I would be of course always very grateful for any help given, I know I'm pushing quite a bit.

I asked what was the source of my unhappiness. Up to there quite simple, but then I got hex. 9 line 5 as the answer... it confused me.

Line 5 is usually a nice line right? This answer just goes over my head completely.

I think it is saying to approach people with sincerity and form links with them. It is true that in these days of troubles and difficulties, it is good to have links with the people around us, as one never knows when one is going to need a friend. As for your unhappiness, people are usually unhappy for one simple reason: They have not made the decision to be a happy person. Happiness is a decision we make or an intention we set every morning as we climb out of bed, and it is not the result of anything external. Some people seem to be born knowing this about happiness while others of us spend most of our lives waiting to be happy some time in the future ...

ginnie, i have to agree with you.
not always easy, but happiness can be a state of mind, almos independant of external conditions.

In LiSe's site it says:
"Xiao Chu is the small harvest, the profit which comes from steady work, from seeds growing into plants. Being content with the small gains achieved.
When one accepts the slow way in which nature works, one creates the space, where one's true path can unfold."

could this mean that if you are more accepting of how your life is, if you enjoy the small joys of life, the simple beautiful things around you, you could be more happy?

line 5:
"Sincerity and trustworthiness, compassion and generosity are your tools to give structure to your life". maybe through developing these caracteristics you can find joy and happiness?

and i would say, I don't know why, that maybe you should not use force, agressiveness to be happy or to relate to others. be more patient, sincere?

does this make sense to you? i'm a VERY junior I Ching reader!!!
