the truth!

Hi there!

I would appreciate if you can help me to figure this out.
I haven't consult the i Ching for months, but now i need you help!

There is something in my past that is hunting me. It is about a really ambiguous situation that i have experience in the past, that is chasing me because I don't know the truth! Now i feel it is time to know it. There is someone that can tell me the truth, but he is someone that it is really difficult to have a conversation that goes beyond the surface. (he is the source of all this ambiguity and frustration)
I contact him recently to see if something was changed and see if a real and deep conversation was possibile. He is open but So far it is still a superficial kind of talk, but Not form my side. I open myself to forgiveness and I told him.

Now I dont' know what to do. If keep going with this approach and ask him directly for the truth or, after have shown him my openness, live it up to him to show me the truth! I don't want to force anything.

What if i don't force anything live it up to him to talk to me about that? 14.5
What if i ask him directly? 58.2.5
Give me an advise on what to do. 14.2.4.6

Which outcome do you think is better?

Do you think this outcome of 14.2.4.6 >36 means that I'm in a good place with my self and the outside world, that I'm in alignment with a good source of energy, and i shouldn't ask him anything straight, because just the fact that I have put my self in a position of forgiveness and openness the answer will come to me. So #36 keep a low profile and do not force anything!

I agree with Svenrus. This question is the one that truly matters. You asked for advice. Yi says you should do as 14.2.4.6 >36 in 14 all things stand out in the light and become manifest, so you can get to the secret (36). The lines tells you how: 2 (One may undertake something. No blame) and 4 (He makes a difference Between himself and his neighbor. No blame) you do what you need to do no matter what this other person thinks or does. 6 is beyond you, maybe it is this person who will finally speak, or the sage protecting you to get to the light that is hidden inside the mountain (36). Hope it helps you think further.

I did what was best for me. I didn't push anything but I said what i needed to say without expecting anything back. My words where probably so true that they open up all the secrets.
I have been try to get to heart of this matter for years, but without results. I think the problem was that all may words and actions so far were always calculated and never spontaneous. full of fears and resentment.
Something different happened this time. And very fast. What I couldn't get in years it come in few days.
I spoke from my heart and not from my mind and it was like I didn't care anymore about the truth, I felt so good with myself that everything else was superfluous . That was the moment when all the answers came to me!!
