Thoughtless 3>2

I share a space with another in terms of horticulture activities, the unfortunate thing is he's my landlord.

He reminds me of my exhusband in regards to thoughtlessness and everything is all about him and talking to him about any issues I may have he gets a kick out of because he likes to undermine my emotion connected to it.
We generally get on reasonably well as most mature adults do but I think I've said on here before I don't particularly like him. He has a run down large greenhouse and I've done a lot of work in there to clean it up and make it a working area again and without any thanks he just walks in does he's potting, planting of seeds etc. and never cleans up after himself - I did mention this but he just laughed and made no attempt to clean it up so I decided I will just remove myself from the area despite all the work I did and create another area I can work in which is more in my part of the bit I rent per se. Problem solved in my mind. I'd forgotten though that I'd gathered some colourful pots to help market the plants I wish to sell and when I went to use them I'd found he'd used them himself. I know it's not personal and I know he didn't intentionally do it, it's just pure thoughtlessness

Naturally my reaction was one of anger but I'm don't want to buy into it knowing he will just laugh, do nothing about it and well it will happen with something else so why bother anyway. I would rather just find a way to combat this within myself so it doesn't set off my anxiety.

Please show me the way to deal with his thoughtlessness so it doesn't affect my anxiety

3.1.5>2 Sprouting and Earth how apt.

Hex 3 hold to proper principles and be tolerant of others - there's no point in trying to resolve it.
Hex 2 Be like the Earth be patient, yielding and nourishing.

Anymore suggestions would be welcome. My anxiety levels have caused me ill health for some time and at present I'm taking TCM to help overcome this and get my physical body back to one of strength.

How to deal with his thoughtlessness so it does not affect your anxiety:

3. You are wanting to bring some order out of this confusion but In the beginning it is difficult to..
3.1 find a willing partner, ie. get him to assist,
3.5 or to establish a lasting routine with him although there may be small episodes of agreement.

Therefore it is wise to
2. Accept things as they are.

It reads to me as if the I Ching is saying it is difficult to establish a long term agreement or routine so early in your association. I think you're being advised to not try to co-ordinate your efforts yet but to just observe how he is for a while. I think there is a possibility that as you just watch without trying to influence you will come to have insights that allow you to manuver around him without anxiety. Don't demand more of yourself than is possible!

Personally I suggest you might get value from checking out the feng shui of your unit.

best wishes,
Rosada

Thanks for responding yet again to one of my threads rosada - it's most helpful as I weave my way into learning how to have equilibrium in my non-personal relationships from people who want more lol

Interesting about your suggestion of feng shui as the last couple of days I've started getting rid of as much of his stuff out of my flat as possible. The flat came fully furnished as it was originally holiday accommodation but I'm feeling his 'heaviness' in the environment and wish to get rid of it.
The unit is under his house so you could say I'm beneath him but I certainly don't feel that way about it but still can I counteract that energetically in some way?
My views from all windows are the garden and beyond that the ocean, however on one side is the stairs up to his house and the other side is his garage full of family and old business stuff he no longer needs but is clearly holding onto. Beyond that is the said greenhouse fully of unneeded stuff as is his garden shed.
Out the back is actually my front (and only) door and fortunately with all the windows I can see who's coming. Also out the back is the herb/flower garden I just built which inadvertently pushed his vegetable garden to the perimeter of the property but he does have to walk through my garden to get to his.
My neighbours on either side are great understanding boundaries and privacy and the nuisance neighbour lives across the street but I did have to block off neighbour accesses as she had no problem walking through their yards into mine as we are all unfenced.
Now that I've written it down I see I'm surrounded by his stuff in more ways than one. Short of moving out is there a way to counteract the situation?
thanks

Please show me the way to rid myself and my unit of his heavy energy

Oh dear or is this just a reflection of it all.
I have suggested we have a garage/yard sale in 2 weeks in the hope he may start decluttering but I haven't seen any indication that's he's sorting stuff out to sell.

The only way it will be completed, perhaps, is when I move out.

Hello - me again

I got exactly 3 to 2 about a situation - about living in close proximity to someone being a pain -
I sat in my living room looking out the windows and feeling as if the energy of the place was just not working all my efforts were amounting to nothing and no one really cared. Not the same as your situation I know but people were being thoughtless to my well-being and it felt like a repeat of patterns I had tried to ignore

A horse does this shuddering thing with its head and blows through its lips to make a brrrrrrr noise. Whenever I get hex 2 it reminds me to physically do this. Rather than getting too stressed or trying to understand sometimes we need to be like the horse and brrrrrrr.... Loudly. It does help. You can also try standing in ine spot and start rising and lowering your heels keep going and your whole body starts to shimmer - like a horse - we do this at yoga and it helps. hex 2 like S:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:ometimes we just can't do anything - You say your landlord is not unkind just thoughtless some people are - horses sometimes give me a look sometimes - if I ask them to
Kindly move forwards or slow down (a lot). It's that sideways glance - acceptance really - you could try this approach!
Your place sounds lovely - I agree with Rosada that you could help with shifting energies around -

Brrrrrrrr (like blowing raspberries)

I was going to put the dead horse symbol but that was no good - dead horses don't brrrrrrrrr

Feng shui tip for dealing with obtrusive energies:

Put a mirror on the wall that is between you and the neighbor. Hang it so the back of the mirror is facing you and the mirror surface is flat against your wall facing the neighbor. As he is upstairs you would hang the mirror, wrong side to you, on your ceiling.

The idea is that the energies coming towards you will be reflected back to their source.

Good luck!
Rosada

p.s. Of all the feng shui tips I know, the most powerful one is to get rid of clutter. Clutter clogs the flow and keeps us submerged in the past PLUS we tend to attract more of what we already have so if you have clutter you will attract more stuff or more people who collect clutter like the landlord. You may feel your own space is pretty clear so if that is the case this wouldn't apply to you but if you do have something that needs to be recycled - even if it's just a book needing to go back to the library - moving it might help make the bigger shift happen.

My neighbour used to use old CDs. I thought they looked dreadful but she said they deflected energy..

Yes butterfly spider learning to shake things off when they happen is something I need to do - it just always takes me by surprise I think.

Yes I understand the declutter one most of all too rosada and am always making sure to keep any things I know longer need, including library books, moving out my door.
As you say like attracts like and when I first moved here I felt we were quite similar in terms of holding onto useless emotions of past happenings although now I know I've let go of so much. He was away for 2 months until recently which gave me the space and time to clear my own stuff maybe that's why I'm feeling it so much with his return.
Before he went away I got drawn into his energy and I could literally feel the pull. Now when I feel the pull I do the cord breaking ritual in my mind and with your suggestion of the mirror hopefully it will shift things. Thankyou!

I'm wondering if I should put something between my window and the stairs.

It's no good that Taylor Swift song has been playing in my head since the thread began and now you say

I suggest dancing to 'shake it off'. You can dance to the original video. Or there's this I first got from Moss Elk last year. You can do this too

Well a bit of a turn around. I put up 3 mirrors about 4 days ago, 2 of them are magnified cause that's all I could find to buy and well he's started to declutter his stuff!!

Wow ...
Since this thread I have been thinking of people who behave thoughtlessly. People who stand and block paths or act with no thought of their neighbours. Swimmers who channel in their lane regardless - drivers who park or manoeuvre with no thought. It linked in well with Rosadas thread about why we ask yea or no questions. I have also been thinking about people I live with - and the need to de clutter ..

I got this hex 3 to 2 today about moving on and out (was that from Bonanza?). I am heartened that your reading turned out so well. I am off now to buy some mirrors ...

Thanks

Funny you should say that because I'd been thinking you could work out some feng shui your situation.
There are soooooooo many thoughtless people in this World it never ceases to astound me.

Decluttering for me personally has been so empowering and enjoyable and the things that have been happening for me over the last couple of days are proof of my own energy clearing.

OMG some thing have changed ie. him letting go of some of his personal hoard but his thoughtlessness continues in the garden. Last week he told me he was going to use weedkiller on the grass growing up in my herb/vege garden and I asked him to be careful and thought that's not hard because the grass is not really that close to the plants. Nope he got some of the plants which have started to yellow but I hope they survive.
Today I was out all day and he decided to cut back a overhanging bush from the neighbours and managed to step and leave the debris all over my flower seedlings. What can you do with that???
He went away for a few days last weekend and sent me a few texts which I felt were a bit, not inappropriate, but friendlier than necessary but I deflected them as best I could.
I feel he came back a bit cranky but didn't think much of it until he was quite short with me yesterday.
I wonder if these mirrors are causing him to see the truth about himself and he doesn't like it.............
