I think someone recently deleted their thread in CC at least one moment it was there and the next it was gone. But I thought this was no longer possible ? I sympathise if people regret posting a thread but deleting it when there are responses is not fair on the respondents at all and I thought you said it could no longer happen ? Why do people have to delete the whole thread why can't they just edit or delete ? If I see people deleting their own threads after responses have been posted I'm going to be thinking twice before responding to them again because I don't think it's fair they can delete my post just because they changed their mind. It wastes respondent's time when people delete their own threads. If it's really sensitive they could ask respondent's if they mind the thread being deleted but just going ahead and deleting all the responses on your thread is not considerate of respondent's time and energy.

When I brought this up quite a while ago I was only referring to deleting a thread of mine where no one had yet posted, so it's more like deleting a post. It may have been that this 'function' wasn't working at some point but I know it works now.

I really don't know about what you're describing - deleting a thread I had started which now includes other's posts - and have never really considered that at all.

Best, d.

my post has no connection to anything you did, it's something Hilary said elsewhere. She said people couldn't delete their own threads now in the new forum but that has no connection to you. Recently I saw thread and response deleted in CC at least I think I did so I wondered if people could still delete their threads which is what I am asking Hilary. May as well @hilary so it's clear I'm not asking other people since they wouldn't know. Suppose I could just try it
