Could you tell me when do you use them?

I believe that the Ten Stems and Twelve Branches are correlatives of hexagrams 9 through 30. I take the Ten Stems as yang and yin forms of the five elements and the Twelve Branches as the twelve zodical signs. In King Wen's time the zodiac began with the Cock (hexagram 19) and ended with the Dog (hexagram 30). When a casting gives a hexagram between 9 and 30, I consider them. Here is an example:

Stems and Branches are used heavily in the Wen Wang Ba Gua system.
