Hi everyone, This seems like a great community. Dabbled in Ic awhile back but really just got back into it with more commitment. Anyway, since I am new, I question my interpretations. My question focused on a weird, psuedo, long distance relationship were I totally dig him but I don't trust his feelings. So it was along the lines of what are his intentions with me. Helppp. It's consuming my cranium!

As you're relatively new to IC, I'd suggest you may be falling into Beginner's Mistake #2: Trying to get into someone else's head. The fact that you're asking the question suggests you're not in a place to make sense of the answer even if you got one. Better to assume IC is talking to you about you...

46: Rising. A very positive hex. Slow steady growth finding its way around obstacles and into the sunlight. From tiny acorns etc...

2: Sincerity in your aims. Even if you make small social errors, these are easily forgiven. A mention of a "small sacrifice" -- perhaps letting something go such as ambition, pride, even your suspicion toward his feelings. Become objective, become purposeless.

6: Pushing up blindly. You're making very good progress and heading up into new realms of personal growth. "It is beneficial to be unceasingly correct."

This leads directly into Hex 4: Youthful Folly. As a resultant hex, it confirms that you're heading into the unknown and learning new things. It also suggests you should approach others with an open mind to bring out the best in them.

So... not a reading of the other person, or a prediction of the future of your relationship, but a positive reading of your current state and a suggestion of how to proceed.

I agree with what Elias said about climbing into others heads...but if you take this at face value, simply I'd say he has no idea what his intentions are

46.3 finds no barrier to progress but finds what they progress to is an 'empty city', theres nothing there to make it worth staying

46.6 doesn't know where its going but pushes on in the dark anyway, thats all one can do here.

Hex 4 'not knowing' amplifies the the theme of pushing on up in the dark (46.6) without a clue.(4)

Its possible you may need to show him the way, show him what you want, otherwise seems he isn't that sure where hes headed in his intentions to you

wouldn't swear to that interpretation though but its how it presents to me

46.3 -- I've also been ambiguous about that "empty city." (I just got that line yesterday...) I like the interpretation that there's no resistance to your progress, but nothing to hold you there either. This line then supports line 6 - keep moving forward.

Theres much variation on interpretation of 46.6...some say its like "you don't know where you going so its time to call a halt and stop pushing blindly on"...others say its more like "now is the time to keep pushing on even though you can't see where you are going. you have to trust direction even though its dark"

For me in practise I find the second is the advice to follow

no need to be embarrassed i'm always finding other peoples mistakes , especially Toms, he is always interpreting lines the person never received
