Totally confused about major decison, please help

I recently posted about selling our home in 6 months and I got 34.1.5>28. I just spoke with someone who gave me concrete info that positively changes how much I may sell our house for and when.
So I asked the IC: in June @ x$? and got :24.1.3.4.6>56. The 24.6 seemed to say we missed an opportunity and 56 says get going!

Then I asked Now? and got 13.2>1. And then asked IC advantage of now vs. summer and got 24.3.6>22.

I'm not getting whether the IC is saying go or no. I've read a few other threads on 13.2>1. I can't seem to apply them to my situation and would really appreciate insight on any of these hexagrams I received. We really really want to move, but not in a way that,obviously, financially harms us or causes great stress. I'm a big believer in timing.

I think the answer about June for x amount couild mean it will be a go. less emphasis on the 24.6 and more on the hexagram 56: you will be moving..

but I also wouldnt rule out starting now to try and sell, if that is what you truly want to do....with exception that I would not accept less than what you want. the 13.2 speaks of shame and the ancestral hall, people gathering......don't compromise on the value, but begin the process (hexagram one)

On the other hand, the fact that 24 came up twice with line 6 to boot...I would wonder if it is truly something you ought to do at all. 24 could possibly be saying that you might want to re-think the whole idea.....I dont know your details, so it is very hard to know how I would take these readings in your shoes. they are rather ambiguous. The 13.2 seems to warn about the nature of the "offerings"-or lack of - being shameful. maybe in general, this time is not good to sell. the 34.1.5 could suggest too much enthusiasm for this is not appropriate. take your time and be sure.

I read on here somewhere that changing lines mean different periods of time- the first being now. The last being if you don't do anything? Because 24 seems to say it is a good time- a turning point. And it does seem that is happening in our market. Things are turning here for sure.
The 13.2 was very confusing. Can you elaborate on "ancestral hall, people gathering"? One reading on here suggested "shame" could be translated as "stingy".
Things have been gathering steam lately and pieces have been finally falling into place for us to move. Or at least it seems that way. But you are suggesting with 24.6 coming up twice that there is a warning here.

It seems a bit confusing to me, and I am not sure what the significance of 12.6 in both readings would be. Only that the fact it came up twice would give me pause.

If your original reading about the idea of selling the house was 34.1.5 > 28, I would mull that over. If it were my reading, it would suggest pausing (avoiding being rash), but that's just me.

If you really want to sell your house, and if things seem to be falling into place, I would go ahead and begin the process, put the house on the market, see what happens, field offers...and so on. It couldnt hurt. At that point, you could always ask the Yi Jing to guide you in making the right decision about offers.

I have found the Yi to a more helpful tool when there is a concrete issue to ask about, rather than open-ended or more ethereal issues such as "what if I sell NOW rather than june"....the answers can be kind of muddled....after all, there are so many factors between making the decision to sell and actually selling.


re: the ancestral hall and the shame factor...do you have hilary's book? or karcher's? that answer is a bit confusing to me in terms of your question.....is there discord or unhappiness amongst any of your family members regarding moving?? sometimes a reading will indicate factors that are related to the question, but only you would know.

I wish I could be of more help. But truly, if I were you, I would follow my gut and move forward in the direction you want, and then use the I Ching to guide you in the concrete steps. always good to follow your heart
