Hi all, hope there is peace and love within and around you, I am new to the community and to I Ching, for some years I have been going thru a spiritual awakening which changes direction and knowledge as time passes on, and It is now I have been led to I Ching, I done my 1st hexagram cast, and recieved 60 with changing lines to make a hexagram 12, I’m not sure what to read and interpret from the 12, what I should read and what the changing lines are directing my attention to. I seem to be in a constant flux of change over the last few years and my question for this cast was based on work, do I make transition to go on my own or wait and see. One other thing I’ve seen people put numbers for example 14.5.2 was is the significance of the three numbers.A lot here in 1st post thank you for taking time to read and I thank you in advance for any and all reply.Love light peaceB

Hi,

and best hopes for You.

There is a routine here that I'll shortly explain. Your question: What does 14.5.2 means. (correctly: 14.2.5)

It simply means hexagram 14 with line two and line five changing and is written: 14.2.5. 13 as hex. 14.2.5 changes to hex. 13

But in the beginning this isn't important to understand but simply to understand as a syntax

This may be of use to you and is a free course

https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/learn/beginners/

as it should contain the basic information you need as a beginner

Also to move further forward I recommend the Foundations Course which is, as far as I know, the only course of it's kind anywhere, to take a person through all the steps of interpretation in a very clear way. It is available to buy on it's own but is also free when you are a member of Change Circle. The advantage of doing it through Change Circle is there is a Yi Academy there so you can discuss the exercises and so on with other people. Here is the link https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/shop/i-ching-foundations-course/

I think the free beginners course is a good place to start

Also if you click the link in my signature it shows how to post a reading. You need to write your cast like this 60.1.2.4.6>12. If you don't write it that way it means others have to work it out for themselves which can mean fewer responses for you.

The numbers you see such as 60.1.2.4.6>12 mean the hexagram and the change lines going to the relating hexagram

You also need to say what your question was.

In terms of what to read well you read hexagram 60 and the lines you got and also consider the relating hexagram. But rather than me sit and write it all out you can just do the Beginners Course I linked to in my last post.

Hexagram 60.1.2.4.6 > 12 Work-related: Do I make a transition to go on my own or wait & see?

Coming from a place of Stagnation (12), moving into 60, Measuring or Articulating. Clarify and respect the limitations of the situation, w/an eye on timing. Rash action and insufferable restriction are to be avoided.
