So there's a new fella. It's been a little over a month. Things are really good in all of the ways they should be good, but for some reason I have this nagging uneasiness about things and I'm not sure why. After a few weeks of feeling like readings on this were just not a good idea, mostly because anything I read during this period on any subject seemed completely unclear for the month of April, as if it were one long void of course. I decided to finally throw when life started to settle. This time I got something that makes more sense, but I want a second opinion.
Please clarify this relationship and its potential for me. (That was the "question" as I hoped it would inadvertently give me clarity on either the unease or the good parts.)

Before even looking at the lines this made huge sense. This fella is younger than me, and clearly in a period of transition. I also am in a period of transition. Not always pleasant either, and he is a huge huge change of pace for me. Nothing about this doesn't feel different than previous partners or patterns.
Line 1 - This also makes perfect sense. Both of us are a bit baggage-laden -- me just out of a serious relationship, and he has had some bad luck with his recent partners or even just casual acquaintances. There is no lack of expression of affection -- I would even call the positive feedback effusive -- but he has also said that he really wants to take it slow because when he doesn't, there's trouble. I have also had to practice some restraint. I tend to compulsively want to dive in as deep as possible to see what I've got right at the outset, but I'm not able to do that here. Which gives me time to ruminate. (Maybe the source of the nagging anxiety?)
It also could be advising me to wait until my urge to "rebound" has abated, or for him to wait until he feels a little more stable about his life plans.
Line 3 - Um, this one is a little scarier. And the differences between translations don't help at all. Warning again not to move too fast? Or is there something else? Harder before it gets easier? The indication of violence is a little off-putting. This is the line with which I think I need the most help. I hope to read it as continue with measured self-control with LOTS of communication. Neither stopping short or going whole hog is a good plan here...?
Hexagram 45: Leading towards a convergence into new patterns... This relationship, while perhaps not being a forever thing, is sure going to be a hell of a good learning experience.
