Upsetting news before job interviews

Hi everyone, I'm a student and have job interviews coming up in the next few weeks. I've been preparing for these interviews for a long time and keeping a positive attitude!

I asked "what do I need to do right not to find a job that is well paying, that I love and that will set me up for a good career", and I got hex 12: standstill.

Then I asked, "will I find a decent job after I graduate" and got hex 3>36, where 36 talks about unfavorable circumstances.

Finally I asked "what should I be doing with my life" and got 28>48. Which talks about having purpose and potential but being far away for realizing it.

I found this REALLY depressing. I have paid a ton of money to go to a great school, my parents have supported me so that I can in turn graduate and support them so that they can stop working hard all of their life, and I've been working really hard and it seems as though I'm being told that it's all in vain.

I'm not sure how to react to this, but this is all very upsetting

12 here reads to me like you have to hold on to your principles during this time of limited opportunity, but now is not the time to pursue your long term goal.

3.3.5>36 also suggests to keep your goals, but don't focus on them externally now. Maybe keep those to yourself for now. Line 3 suggests to me that you are premature in your action to achieve your objective. Line 5 suggests you need to go at this one step at a time. Perhaps look for a position that puts you in a better spot to advance toward your long term goal.

28.4>48 This reading suggests to me that you should be working to create a firm foundation for you to get where you need to go. Instead of pushing things without a firm foundation, work on the supporting structures in your life. You're aiming for the stars, but you need to work on the floor first.

Just my take on this, and I don't think this is bad. It's just telling you what you need to do. Good luck!

Ferret, thank you for this - it certainly is a bit more positive reading.

So my very long term goal is to work for the government, however, in the meantime, my short-medium term goal is to get a business job at a big company to learn how to run a business and an organization. What prompted me to do a reading was a rejection but one of these companies that would set an amazing foundation for this future and one that I've been preparing to interview with a very long time.

I'm not sure if the yi is confirming my goals (focus on business jobs now, long term later) - since this was my plan all along.

My question was more along the lines of - will I get a decent job right now in school that will set me up for those plans and the answer is don't focus on your long term goals.
