Bloody Hell what a complete fruit loop. She has no contact with reality...

I couldn't get over how insensitive, crass, cruel and disrespectful Trump's 'joke' about the problem being too many tests, 'reduce the testing so then there will be less coronavirus' he said .... I mean that is deeply offensive even as a joke. Worse he maintains it wasn't a joke. I mean the only rescue work to be done on those comments would be to say it was a joke so his aides said to the press he was joking but he maintains he wasn't.

How could he say things like that with the death toll as it is, with the virus spreading as it is. Clearly the audience find it funny. Maybe he/they won't be finding it so funny soon.

Yes, a fruit loop.
If you watch videos of his rallys,
you'll see QAnon based signs in the audience.
The logic of the person behind Q is: if they are dumb enough to believe QAnon, they are dumb enough to vote for rump.

Yes, rump is cruel, he is a walking plague in need of quarantine.

Something I just read: Trump can't respond adequately to the pandemic because the only person who is real to him is himself. That seems a good, succinct explanation of quite a lot.

Well... I can spend so much time greeting every new Trump story with 'WTF? How can anyone be so devoid of empathy? How can he so spectacularly blatantly not care? Has he no idea of future consequences?' And 'nothing is real to him but himself' seems to answer and explain all of it. His ratings are real, his image is real; people dying of COVID-19 are not. Therefore he issues instructions to reduce testing so his numbers will look better, and refuses to wear a mask. His financial interests are real (oh, and his ongoing revenge on Obama); the lives lost to environmental destruction are not, hence the constant war of attrition on environmental protection. And so on.

I suppose it's just another way of saying 'sociopath', but to me it was more immediately comprehensible. Also, it saves the emotional energy of being shocked and horrified by each new thing.

I can't see how that helps unless the point is to protect oneself from having a reaction because one doesn't have the time to have it. That would be dangerous because it would filed away under 'theory'. I mean I think it's important to keep on noticing.

It could be he's a sociopath. To me it doesn't really matter what he is, he can be what he wants only not in the powerful position of the President of the US.

Not sure it just explains all of it really at least it wouldn't be enough for me to put it away so to speak

Yes, I see what you mean. Self-protection by not reacting emotionally is a luxury a lot of people don't enjoy. On the other hand, an emotional reaction that can't lead to doing anything constructive does seem like a distraction/ waste of energy.

Aren't all protests like that, they often don't lead to any contructive change.

No I wasn't saying that. I just wouldn't find it helpful to me to just think 'ah someone says he's only real to himself so that explains everything so now I have more time and don't need to wonder why he did something' that just wouldn't be real to me given I'm going to see it on the news and have a thought that happens spontaneously.

On the other hand, an emotional reaction that can't lead to doing anything constructive does seem like a distraction/ waste of energy.

Eh ?? That's not real, people can't only have emotional reactions to things that lead to doing something 'constructive'. It applies the work 'productivity' ethic to the emotions. If it's not productive the emotion can't be had ? That would rule out a lot of emotions.

Anyway I don't have a lot of emotions about trump that distract me :???:

Probably you are talking about immediate, spontaneous emotional response, and I'm talking about what we do next.

Dr Frank Dodds, Yale Psychiatry said,
"He can only do what he does.
He doesn't have much complexity to him.
Truth means nothing to him and other people mean nothing to him. Once you get that concept, that nothing matters, no conscience, no morality, then everything else falls into place."

It is interesting to note that during this time when police corruption (illegal violence & racism) is being exposed and fought against, the chief law enforcement officer in the country (rump) is the most corrupt president in history.

He just essentially pardoned his crony who was convicted of 7 felonies, one of which was thteatening to kill a mans dog to silence him.
What a bunch of winnners.

Trojina, I seem to recall in 2016 there were many many readings, from a far flung assortment of readers compared here on who was going to win the American Presidential election.
It is only recently since I passed 60 the Yi has actually started divining for me, and it is very easy to compare predictions and intepretations with actual events. So as a learning and academic exercise, or even as a little bit of a competition in who can best intepret the Yi, I think it is a constructive and positive thing to do.
And forgive me, but I am not really interested in arguing politics with all you sweet progressive British ladies over in open spaces.
Bless your hearts. Not even Brexit! Lol....
