Hello all. I've been taking a teaspoon of this velvet bean /Mucuna pruriens powder since past 3 days. Good for lots of things. Has dopamine, increases bone density, improves brain function, is an adaptogen and more. Feeling stronger and calmer since then. So I asked what are the chances it is beneficial for me and drew 63 lines 3 and 6 moving to 53. Surprised by the negative answer I asked what are health benefits of this powder for me and got 50 lines 4, 5, 6 moving to 48. So what do I make of this? Thank you.

what are the chances it is beneficial for me
63.3.6 > 53

It will create a struggle which will last for years (63.3) and you will feel like you're drowning (63.6)
And these bad effects will just drag on and on (53).

I asked what are health benefits of this powder for me
50.4.5.6 > 48

I don't know your age, but this answer sounds like a premature menopause to me.

Thank you Diamanda. I'm 61 and velvet beans are perfect for me so perhaps the lines describe battle between the bad and good in the body and 63 line 6 advises to limit how much I eat?

I see 6.3.3.6> 53 as meaning the supplements will be good for you but that you need to realize they need to be taken continuously - you mustn't think, "Well, now I'm feeling good again so now I can stop taking the velvet beans."

Likewise I think 50.4.5.6 > 48 also says they are beneficial.

So here we have two very different interpretations of your hexagrams. I think this points to the importance of how a question is phrased. "What are the chances...?" can bring up both positives and negatives.

63.3.6 moves to 42. Whereas 63.1.6>53. Which is it?

PS- in my experience, 63.1.6>53 came up for an arbitration procedure. The panel had already made up their minds (63: done deal), but were wary of not antagonising either party, and stuck painstakingly to procédure to the end (53). I interpreted line 1 as they initially thought it would be an easy case, and were about to take a rash, unconsidered decision, but braked just in time. And 6: they realised they had taken on a difficult responsibility and were acutely aware that an unfair decision for either party could drag them back into lengthy deliberations. They were determined to be irreproachable, close the case and move on.

In the case of the velvet beans, I would read this as 63 you have already made up your mind that they are beneficial, but 53 it is a slow and methodical process to achieve benefits. I would consider lines 1-6 as a quick cycle of deliberation. When both 1and 6th lines move, often the resulting hex is more relevant to the answer.

Thanks Yasmin. True I had already decided after all my research. And true when 6th line moves it goes into the changed hex but also the hex opposite to it. When you upturn the hex you get the opposite which precedes the hex in question usually.
