I'm in California now and there are lots of fires. In many places there is a big issue with air quality because of all the smoke.

I was considering traveling north to a certain hot springs. However I know another hot springs resort just burned down (I was there the very day it happened) and I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to go somewhere with there would be a danger of smoke.

So I checked in with the yi and asked about the resonance of me going to this particular hot spring resort.

52.3 > 23

That made me really wonder if there was a danger of smoke. I called the resort and asked them straight up what the air quality is. The receptionist said "The air quality isn't very good. You can definitely smell the smoke. It's been worse in the past, but if you think you might be sensitive to it, I'd recommend coming up some other time."

I bow to the beauty and harmony of the I ching. Couldn't have been a more clear reading.

I think the truthful receptionist deserves a note of thanks.
