I have the option to apply for an O1 artist visa (I have decent acting credits but not enough press) and option number 2 is: my sister has offered to sponsor me for Green Card.

I asked the i-ching if the Green Card is the right route for me?

Answer I got was: 5.4.6 > 1

This could be interpreted as: "Stop procrastinating and go for the 01 visa" since number one is the number of creativity?

Or "stop procrastinating and take the offer of your sister."

My boyfriend lives in the U.S and I seriously find it painful + expensive to keep going back and forth to UK.

Any opinions would be helpful! :)

Hmmm there is probably more information that you are not telling us.
Oh well, this will have to do for now.

5.4 'Waiting in blood' - Green Card from your blood relative will take a very long time.
leading to 43.6, you are ambushed by some unexpected force, you are missing something if you go this way.
5.6 says the same.

I like your connection of h1 with 'Creative' O1 visa. It may well be the case.
I would say go with O1, or wait for 3rd option/unexpected change of circumstances (proposal ? break-up? ..)

5.4 says that you soooooo want to do something, to get out of this, but you should wait a bit more.
Richmond calls h5 'Lack of a path'.

Try asking Yi about O1 visa, for clarity.

Hilary's translations:
5.4
‘Waiting in blood.
Come out of the pit.’

5.6
‘Entering into the pit.
There are uninvited guests,
Three people come.
Honour them: in the end, good fortune.’

Which is quicker or easier? I think 5.4 might be advising you to do whatever gets you out of the "pit" soonest.

Can you do both at once? In other words, if you come here on an artist visa (if that's the quickest way), can your sister sponsor you for a green card while you're here on an artist visa? (This is speculation - I don't know anything about either one.)

(If the above makes any sense, 5.6 might simply be telling you this is a solution you hadn't thought of.)

"stop procrastinating and take the offer of your sister."

The response is more likely to be referring to the Green Card because that was the question you asked. Also, a green card is a more permanent way of providing for yourself than a visa.

Hey guys,

Thank you for all your responses.

Well Ashteroid - I didn't want to bore everyone with irrelevant details and tried to sum it up the best I could. I can't marry my boyfriend because he's a Green Card holder and that would mean I can't work for a LONG time.

I like your interpretation it's pretty interesting. Especially the "waiting in blood" part.

I followed your suggestion and cast again asking "what would happen if I applied for the O1 visa instead?"

Result is 8.3.4.5 > 62 (Any thoughts on that?"

Hilary - I have no idea if I can do both at once; but you are right - should check!! :) I definitely think the i ching is telling me to get out of the pit and make some sort of decision.

And yes Ginnie; Green Card would be the ideal.

I shall have a think about what you've all said.

That was me, Lisa, quoting Hilary's book.

What would happen if I applied for the O1 visa instead? 8.3.4.5 → 62
8 - 62.png

8.3
Crowley: Unite not with unworth's iniquity!
Daniels: You are associating with the wrong people.

39.4
Crowley: Advance not; be with those united thou.
Legge: Shows its subject advancing, (but only) to (greater) difficulties.
He remains stationary, and unites (with the subject of the line above).

31.5
Crowley: But shrug thy shoulders! God shall gladly view it.
Daniels: The response comes from the depths of your being.
Richmond: Activity of the muscles on the spine above the heart. No regret.

Doesn't look good at all. That's not the right way (8.3).
8.4 and 39.4 speak about external help.
8.5 advises to be more receiving.
So, either go via sister's offer or wait for 3rd option to appear.
Going 'low' is best for now (62).

p.s. 8.4 hold to him outwardly, 'show your attachment openly' [Wilhelm].
And then 8.5 'citizens need no warning', Yi may be suggesting a simple(62) approach - marriage.

Well, I have an update. I cannot take my sister's offer because it would take 13 years!! Haha... Ashteroid you were SO right about "waiting a long time in blood".

Thanks for your interpretation on the other reading. I'll go through it again and take some time to absorb it. :)
