Waiting & danger?

I asked for daily advice and got 5.1.2.4.5 Waiting > 62 Preponderance of the Small. Makes some sense given that it's Thanksgiving, but I'm curious about a little issue in it.

“Waiting. If you are sincere, you have light and success. Perseverance brings good fortune. It furthers one to cross the great water.”
“Clouds rise up to heaven: the image of Waiting. Thus the superior man eats and drinks, is joyous and of good cheer.”
.1: “Waiting in the meadow. It furthers one to abide in what endures. No blame.”
.2: “Waiting on the sand. There is some gossip. The end brings good fortune.”
.4: “Waiting in blood. Get out of the pit.”
.5: “Waiting at meat and drink. Perseverance brings good fortune.”

So all this makes sense... but then there's this issue about danger.
Danger of what?
50.6 Caldron > 32 Duration
"The Caldron. Supreme good fortune. Success."
"Fire over wood: the image of The Caldron. Thus the superior man consolidates his fate by making his position correct."
.6: “The ting has rings of jade. Great good fortune. Nothing that would not act to further.”

So am I reading this correctly in thinking that Yi is saying: it's nothing that would not actually act to further me, so don't worry?

Danger of what?

I did not read the word "danger" anywhere in your post. What is the danger issue? Where did you see "danger"?

The upper trigram is the abysmal, water, which means danger. The lower trigram is the creative, heaven, which means strength. So there is a temptation to gallop forward into danger and the advice is that one ought to have the strength in the face of danger to resist rushing into things and instead to hold one's horses and wait.
We had an example of this at Thanksgiving yesterday. The kids (young fools) were getting rowdy waiting for dinner and one grabbed the whip cream and sprayed it into the air. In appropriate 4.6 fashion Grandma did not get angry but simply took the canister and put it out of reach. The kids then had to wait for dessert but they enjoyed eating dinner and ultimately dessert did arrive - and not just pumpkin pie but several other late arrivals brought unexpected delicacies too. A true 5.6 moment.
