Thank you, Matt. I enjoy reading your thoughts, as well. Thanks to LiSe and Hilary, too!

Unfortunately, Sat. mornings are typically recording times at the studio, or I?d be attending.

Ooops sorry Micheline! I didnt mean you had a strong accent, just a good clean crisp american one. I have friends from Texas who are very southern in their lingo.

Ah yes - Saturdays, recording. I even knew that (once). Sundays?

Sundays would work.

Wondering if the program is Mac compatible, to include Brad (if we could drag him away from his writing for awhile), or other Mac-heads?

I could cut a deal and agree to come if Lindsay shows up.

Yes, it is! Margaret P is on a Mac, so I had to upgrade to the Mac-compatible hire-per-month version. (Then I got a complaint on the blog that it isn't Linux compatible.) I did have Brad in mind, too, though, when holding onto the room. And is Lindsay another Mac-ite?

Want me to come over there and help drag? Maybe if Coyote gets them by the seat of the pants? (Um, or is she asleep under a tree with her paws lolling in the air by now?)

Hi Hilary-
If I'm not mistaken, this room involves microphones and some more computer savvy that I lack. Otherwise I'd probably join in.

Actually, there's text chat also. Try logging in - see if you can with your machine - and you'll see what I mean. Text and voice chat can dovetail surprisingly well, though it's better if you can speak.

I believe Margaret used the built in mic on her Mac, since she couldn't find a compatible headset, and that worked OK. (I couldn't believe Macs don't have standard audio input sockets, but apparently they don't. What's next - designer electricity from a translucent blue socket??)

Re the Mac microphone 'problem'

There are USB microphones for Apple / Macs - They use the USB port...

Try:

Logitec USB Headset - I now use one - lovely

or the Griffin iMic?

No, not today - or not that I'm running, anyway. (Still hammering away at last week's transcript - can't do too much at one or my hands go funny.) Anyone else is more than welcome to use the room any time.

Um. What happens when you try to log in?

Ok, thanks, Hilary.

I get an "incorrect name or password" error message.

Ah - oh - hang on a minute while I check something...

Ah yes. I set the password-less user account to expire yesterday and forgot to change it when the event was cancelled. Oops.
