How to share a reading
To post a link -
- Post your reading to the usual forum - Shared Readings or Reading Circle (for Change Circle members)
- Post a link to your reading on this thread.
If copying and pasting is a problem for you, just post a reply here with the title of your reading thread, and I (or possibly a friendly moderator!) will edit your post to add the link for you.
- Copy the url of your new thread. (On a computer, that just means highlight the address in the address bar at the top of your browser and press ctrl+C. On a phone, if you press and hold in the address bar you should get a 'copy' option.)
- Come back to this thread, click the 'post reply' button and paste in the url you just copied. (Ctrl+V on a computer, or press and hold in the reply box until you see a 'paste' option on a phone.)
That way you'll have a separate thread where people can post their thoughts on your reading, and that won't get entangled with Well Gathering admin things.
By the way, in the thread Carlo has said it's Notion he means, for anyone who's familiar with it.here:
Should I use this new software for my work?
I just asked if this new software I am trying to master with lots of difficulties is the right one for my workflow as a note taking reader of philosophy 37.4.6 to 49 thank you Carlowww.onlineclarity.co.uk

If it isn't too late, I would love thoughts on this - as it's a rather "Big" question and I'm still feeling a bit foggy on it. I worry I am being too heady/intellectualised about my interpretation.

On the day of the gathering, I'll check this thread in the morning (UK morning, that is!) before I email round the Zoom link and also let everyone know what we'll be discussing. That way, everyone has a chance to look at readings (or other things) in advance. So if you will be on the call and want to share a reading, please post it here nice and early.
Coming up this Saturday - October's Well Gathering! If you're a member of Change Circle or WikiWing (or if you'd like to join between now and Saturday, of course) and would like to bring a reading, please post a link to it here!

I'm dithering about this, but on balance I don't think it would work. Our usual rule is that the reading's owner has to be present so they can hear and respond to people's ideas directly, and we get the full conversational quality of the reading. Obviously that can't happen if you have to go and translate for your friend afterwards, and they have no way to send feedback or ask follow-up questions (unless the people who were on the call happen to be available on the forum too). Can I post a reading for this Saturday that a very good friend of mine (not a clarity member because doesn't speak english) asked me to interpret?
