I usually won't read the moving lines when there are that many. Some people prefer to read them.

39- there is something off here (could be reflecting how you're feeling), but if you keep at this relationship and you both have much in common, it'll all work out.

I totally agree with Sooo. I'm starting to notice that 39 often has to do with head trips, where we project and can't see things as they actually are. The very nature of your question reflects that. Asking the i ching "how should i feel about this guy" has the implication that there's a right way to feel and a wrong way to feel about him based on your own speculations - way before actually getting to know him or him you very well. Jame DeKorne notes that 35.4 often relates to compulsive speculation and that 35.5 is about acting for it's own sake: not being concerned with illusions of gain and loss. Just be in the moment. 35.6 I've noticed comes up for me (frequently it comes up for me!) when I am pushing or trying too hard.

The second reading seems to say let fate unfold and let it grow organically. You want to be in the experience of growth wherever it leads you both - it will be beneficial and if you try to understand it all ahead of time you'll get yourself all tangled up.

I would estimate that at least 20-30% of the answers we receive pertain to our state of mind at the time we ask our question rather than answering the question we've asked. I try to give the benefit of the doubt when interpreting for someone else most of the time, but for myself, I can pretty much predict with pretty fair accuracy when the answer I'm about to receive is going to speak to my state of mind rather than to my question. A once friend and neighbor, an engineer/analyst, who wasn't even interested in the IC, had a funny way of saying it. "You're pushing on a string," he'd say. It was originally applied to monetary policy but it can apply to any condition where compression is used to solve a need for expansion.
