Are humans from this earth like the other animal and plant species on the planet?

Though it would be interesting to ask this question. No I'm sure like the Bible this book is not the source of all authority and knowledge in the universe (even despite the concept of divination supposedly being this) thus it can be taken with a grain of salt. But I'd thought I'd ask since I was thinking of how offensively different we are from everything else thriving on this planet.

Not sure what it's saying here. But fire under the earth seems to signify a close relationship. Of course that's a literal interpretation.

Maybe it's saying we crashed here a gazillion years ago and forgot everything and had to grow up as members of this planet?

line 1: Seems to talk about how humans are the weird bird on the block. I don't like how the others are viewed as "dark powers" like in the traditional interpretation. Although it does hint at a fallen angel kind of deal. Hm... Although my question was only about the species not our souls. I don't want to think of us as worthy of gossip, or as the earth as our enemy and perhaps the animals gossip about us.

Line 5: Talks again about how humans are stuck here and have to act like we are members of this situation by acting and not by genuine connection. Strange it also mentions being put in bondage which I know is at least one conspiracy theory creation story. That the Anunaki (God and Nephelim of Bible) bred us as slaves and then regretted the whole deal - that we are genetically modified organism. Like author Loyd Pie says. This line certainly supports that. It mentions being stuck in a situation. A ugly ugly fate. :bag:

39 - Ugh another dark hexagram.

Difficulties and obstructions. Seems as though we are stuck here with great problems.
And have to fix our problems before we can escape this situation. :brickwall:

Eek looking at this it seems we were forced here and are not members of this planet. This explains our problems - after all if we were from here why would we want to destroy it and build these artificial realities around us to shelter us from the natives?

Sooo... thought that would be an interesting throw to try. Suffice to say the result isn't encouraging. Thought it is supported by all i've heard. As the sages say - human beings are unable to ever reach balance with nature unless extraordinary measures are taken.

I find this all a big bring down. Seems pointless to follow the Tao and try to "improve oneself" if we are doomed and damaged from the outset. What a conundrum.

I actually threw that to cheer everyone up.
But it looks like it was not too cherry.
Well I guess it doesn't matter where
we are from, were here now.
But at least this explains
a whole lot of things.

(that is if you believe it)

What (in god's name) are you to make of this situation - advice???

Maybe I should just stop asking! I asked in kind of a outraged tone, what is one to do of such a situation and received the following. Not encouraging to say the least.

Conflict:

Best thing in conflict to me is the moderation, the seeking of the middle ground. That seems to be a thematic statement on reality itself.

line 3: Strange I've received this line before and found it complex. It appears it's saying there is a inner worth inside of us. And even though we are mutilated and injured, it cannot be taken away. It says not to seek prestige, but that although within the same line doesn't seem to be applying to the earlier mentioned virtue that is intrinsic to our nature. And let the prestige go to the ruler. At least 1/2 positive.

line 6: A flat out bad fate. A person who has taken conflict to the bitter end, and is endlessly immersed in conflict. A black warning indeed.

Preponderance of the Great

Well the only good thing in this hexagram is the fact that the situation is not permanent. It warns of not using force. (hehe tell the big guys that)

Perhaps this means we will be leaving this planet soon. That we will have to leave because the pressure on the planet and us for us to be here is too great.

... well thats that. Enjoy

Are humans from this earth like the other animal and plant species on the planet?

First off, I'd like to say that this question shouldn't be taken seriously as it was incorrectly asked, and why I say that is the wording is grammatically incorrect for the intended answer desired.

Here's why: "from" in addition to "like other..."(an assumption that humans are "from" Earth because plants and animals are possibly "from" Earth also. Are they?)

(Also, what does "other" mean specifically?)

(Also, we are made "from" elements of the Earth, but does that mean "WE" are "from" Earth? We are more than a body(that's made up of elements possibly "from" Earth in some human's views. So, are "we" as a whole or only part made up of elements of the Earth?("from" Earth)))

A more accurate way to ascertain the answer would be asking a question that is clear and allows a proper response from the universe.

Is Earth the original planet humanity(or humans) existed on? Is Earth the original planet humans evolved on? Is Earth the planet humans were created on?

Something like that. But, then you have other issues, specifically racial. Some say that some races are from other planets originally whereas other races actually were here evolving, and some races are a mix of those two. Then things start getting interesting.

So.. just some thought to consider when asking a question of this magnitude. If you're going to ask a serious question, pay enough attention and respect to properly ask the question and get a clear answer, instead of just throwing something out there in an uninformed manner and hoping to get a vague answer leading to another question(philosophy).

Ask one question at a time, and ask it clearly.

Cyclo you did cheer me up, and i think you cheered up the sage as well, as i get the
impression of nice little dark tale here.

Back in a primeval age, when there was only darkness, and the sun had not formed
yet, we came flying from far away. It was bleak, we were alone, conditions were
harsh, and we had nothing to eat. We lowered our wings and landed on planet Earth.
Conditions here were not much better than where we came from, but unfortunately
we became trapped, in the kingdom of an evil king who then ruled the earth, and
we, in our wisdom and intelligence, had to remain captives of that evil king. And
that, ever since, has led us into obstacle upon obstacle.
"Seems as though we are stuck here with great problems" - well, sums it up really!

6>28 tells you to stop this inner conflict, and get rid of the heaviness. Your question
was not serious, and neither was the answer. If you've been using the I Ching for
long, i'm sure you're familiar with the oracle's fine and superb sense of humour on
occasions! ;)
