Hi clarity members!

I'll set the stage with this: 2012 has been a year of huge growth and a lot of time with the Yi. I ended a profound relationship that was going profoundly in the wrong direction and have been working since to build a deeper and stronger understanding of myself and life on Earth....

I've been wondering what my emotional go-to's are when I'm learning a new lesson. So I asked the Yi: "What are my go-to's?" And it responded 18.5 --> 57, corruption becoming the subtly penetrating winds. Just now, I followed up with - "How do I make breaking through old limits and beliefs my go-to?" The response: 18, no changing lines!!!

So here's my questions for you all:

What is your take on 18.5? It suggests using a positive twist when things aren't looking great, having a naivete about yourself. I'm not sure if that is a suggestion or a direct response what my "go-to's" are.

What do you think about how it transforms to 57, the subtly penetrating winds?? Again - suggestion, or direct response??

Also, What is your take on hexagram 18??

And Lastly, what do you interpret the Yi is telling me to do in order to integrate the Way it tells me about into how I live my life??

Thank you, online clarity community, I'm so so grateful!!

Good question!!

When I say go-to, I mean my default emotional perspective; that emotional or mental baseline which I use as my leaping off-point for processing new information.

Hope that helps!

What are my go-to's?
18.5 > 57

Your question is philosophical. Basically, you are asking, What are my unconscious assumptions and how can I know them? You are seeking the greatest mystery, self knowledge: γνῶθι σεαυτόν. The answer is that of the Emerald Tablet: As above, so below, or in other words, As within, so without. The environment you create around you is symbolic of your inner self. Your world is harmonious with your inner life. So to find who you are, contemplate the world you are creating. If you'd like my help in finding yourself ( :) ), I'd place you as a 4 on the enneagram. Your tone is playful and joyous. 18.5 suggests that as you rectify the yang disorder around you, the yin aspect of your life will become clearer.

Thank you, Pocossin...

That's a big, broad answer to a big, broad question. I'm very grateful.
I've never worked with the enneagram system other than online "quizzes" to evaluate your number/wing and that was yeeaarrss ago. The one thing I remember is that I was placed as a 4 with a something wing (5 maybe?)

To go a little further into it - I've been feeling very, very feminine, very vulnerable, very emotional. My question actually arose from feeling like my go to emotional state is too negative, too far into the chasms of yin energy, and wanting to know if there is a way to balance out more, be a little more flexible, see more of the bigger picture. What you say about rectifying the yang energy totally resonates with that. Do you have any further insights into 18.5? Specifically, what that rectification process and its transformation into the subtle penetration of 57 means to you?

Again, Thank you so much! I hope you're having a remarkable day!

18.5
Six in the fifth place means:
Setting right what has been spoiled by the father.
One meets with praise.

The line text of 18.5 suggests you have been misguided by a male model. I associate line 5 and hexagram 57 with communication, so it suggests to me that with a more subdued dealing with others you'd penetrate their minds better.
