What do I need most in my life right now? Hex 3.1.2.6 > 59

Feeling kind of overwhelmed, I decided to ask the I ching "What do I need most in my life right now?" and i tells me Hex 3.1.2.6 > 59.

I never ever thought of hex 3 being the thing I would need right now, if that's what it's telling me I need. Maybe it's not answering that question? or is that hexagram saying something other than that I need trouble in my life right now?

I like the visual given on 3 "a seed planted that's growing and has to break through the hard soil in order to become a plant" so 3 is more than difficulty. Its a growth process. Your reading depends on what else is going on in your life right now. From the lines it looks like a story of a man that is hesitating on making a union with a woman he has been separated from. Does that ring any bells? Is there someone trying to make a union with you or are you trying to make a union with another that you have been separated from? Seems whatever kind of a situation you find yourself in, you are pacing back and forth on that decision. A seed does not grow into a plant by pacing back and forth.

Wow, interesting question you raise, Blue_Angel. There's a lot going on right now from career decisions to living arrangements (both kind of hinge on each other it seems) but then there's also relationship potential. I wouldn't say I've been formally together or separated with this person, but a couple years ago it felt like things could have turned into something between us but I never fully brought it to fruition and may even have backed away making it seem like I wasn't interested. This all only comes to mind because, though I know her in person, we don't live that close to be able to see each other regularly and thus we've been messaging back and forth maybe every week or so a message comes from her. It stands out because she'd told me in the past that she often reads messages but isn't the best at responding so when I get a response it's more of a surprise to me keeping that in mind. If that relationship is the key to moving everything forward in my life, that would be really surprising to me but great as well. For a couple years I have more or less felt that I didn't know how to move forward in my life at all and have just been trying to figure it all out... pacing back and forth on many ideas/thoughts/decisions. I do believe that somewhat of a "butterfly effect" exists whereby changing something can alter everything else, but I thought for me that it would have to be something obviously related (i.e. to change my quality of living arrangements, upgrading my career to be able to financially support an increased quality) but maybe I limited myself in thinking that way for all I know. Does any of this make sense? It seems to in my head at least!

Yes, it makes sense. It seems after some time passes you will make the decisios needed and a growth will take place of some kind. Best wishes on your journey.
