what do i need to know about him? 58 unchanging. I'm not able to read this clearly and need help please.

I also asked if he is serious about marriage and received Yi's answer, 12.4.6 to 8.

A little background. I've know this guy for over 20 years and recently reconnected because we live in the same neighborhood. We started to spend a lot of time together and began dating.

He seems very into me however I have concerns about him wanting to fill a void (loneliness) or if he's really into me?

Sometimes 58 unchanging is about lots of talk that is fun but doesn't necessarily have much intent behind it. Or, it can signify being comfortable with someone and always having grounds to communicate. 12.4.6 is a casting with a lot of good feeling behind it, but your phrasing makes it hard to interpret, because the oracle doesn't work as well when you ask questions from the point of view of someone else, trying to get into their head. Better to ask something like, "What are the prospects for marriage here?"

Your last sentence of the post over all is a little confusing. You worry that he just wants to fill a void, but then on the other hand your question to the oracle was if he's serious about marriage--which I interpreted as you coming from a place of wanting marriage. Do you have misgivings about being with him?

Yes he is. However his goal is not 'happiness' as such, but some other purpose, which according to him is higher than happiness. He would really like to end a long negative period and be close to someone.

As about him "being into you", well if he intends to stay with you, marry you, be with you, well obviously he is into you. I don't think he's madly in love with you, so if that's what you want perhaps you should consider looking elsewhere. But if it's stability you want, then I'd say this guy is a good bet.

My first thought of something bigger than happiness was
'a true partner" (soulmate) which is what I desire as well. I asked the Yi: "what is this "higher level of happiness"?" and Yi's answer, 40.3 to 32. I think this confirms my thoughts as it speaks on 32 lasting. I read line 40.3 as confirming what you said about ending a negative period to be close to someone. Your thoughts?

This gives me comfort. I don't expect for him to be madly in love with me because the relationship is new and still blossoming. I'm not madly in love either, however I am serious about having a partner. He does seem ideal to me and not just someone I'd be settling for. I like him. He makes me laugh and smile and think.... I want that in a relationship so to confirm that he is in fact into me is comforting. I'm not insecure about myself, I just want someone as serious as I and something real... I'm finally ready
