I have been borrowing money from someone recently, not happily, and I asked the IC about it and I got 22 with no lines. Does anyone have any insight with this that could help me understand the message?
Thank you.

Hi Susan - Crucial:

What was your question?

The one you had in your heart rather than the one on paper.

Will help if I can

The circumstances are very complicated and involved. I guess the question in my heart is why aren't I financially stable and thriving?
It's very involved and embarassing if you want more details I would have to email them cause I don't want to post it.
Thanks for helping

Hi Susan

No problem? The Yijing (mostly) answers the question asked in context. So I needed to know what you asked.

Hexagram 22 is notoriously difficult ? for me anyway!

There are a number of excellent explanations of 22 here:
http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/messages/92/2673.html?1097253999

Mountain ? the upper trigram is the ?articulator? it stops things and prevents movement. Or indeed ends movement.

Hence your ?brightness? stilled, or stopped or blocked here.

Hexagram 22 indicates that it is something in your inner world which is hampered or blocked and this is the problem rather than it being others or life hampering you. Hence the injunction to beautify things. Perhaps another word for beautify is unblock the beautiful inner flow.

Another inference to this hexagram is to consider your inner world and see what the problem there might be? what it is which is hampering you.

I do hope this doesn?t sound like ?blame the victim? and that matters improve for you soon.

I wonder whether asking the Yijing what you might do about your difficulty would be fruitful?

Hi Susan...

Considering the feelings you've expressed here, I believe 22 may be speaking directly to them.

22 is the story of the poor man (as opposed to the rich man) seeking a bride and some of the lines speak of the humiliating concessions he must make in order to wed. 22 sounds like a rather uncomfortable place to be in some ways, but not so uncomfortable in others because, in fact, the man does come away with a bride.

Love,

Val

I just remembered something, that might pertain to the reading. I used to have a painting business with my ex husband where I did some murals and faux finishes, and painted furniture. Maybe it's about that? That fits in w/ Kevin's reading.
Also Val, maybe it's saying it's not so bad then to borrow money. Which I intend to pay back. So if it's not so bad then I will have the means to pay it back? Don't you think?

Hi Susan...

Yes... that's basically what I got. You're trying to get back on your feet from a setback. You feel somewhat humiliated having to borrow, but it will work out for you. I had to ask for help to return to LA from a horribly economically depressed town in VA. I needed to stay with my family for a few months while I got established and found a place of my own. It was humiliating, but it worked out really well. I'm near my family now and see them often and continually repay them their hospitality in many ways. I'm in a great job and have a nice home of my own. Based on the answer you got, I suspect the same will happen for you.

Love,

Val

When I first got it my intuitive interpretation was ''well how do you think it looks" or "it doesn't look good" to be doing this.
And then when Kevin said beautify that made me think of another business I wanted to start with my friend which would be about making garden statues. That would beautify things, wouldn't it? So then, do you think the answer contains clues to the viability of that kind of business?

Hi Susan

It might do.

I would recommend caution on something as big as staking on a business and ask again.

Glad you found some connections.

Wishing you well.
