Alright, my best friend left me two years ago and I've tried for almost the entire two years to get him back. To me, he's apart of myself, and not someone I am in love with. I have striven for this with every ounce of my energy, eschewing other relationships, and most other things in my life for only this goal, because the life I want to live is the one where I fight for love, not the one where I become rich and have nice cars. We didn't really fight about anything, he asked me out, I fell in love with his best friend, I couldn't stop being depressed and talking about his friend all the time, then I felt he was choosing his friend over me, which made me jealous and I complained a LOT. Then he ended our friendship and started telling everyone I was shady, and a crazy stalker, etc. You ask why I want to be his friend again? Because he's apart of my soul, and if you want to tell me to find better friends, Don't.

I asked the Iching 2x what he needed from me, because I wasn't sure if the first reading was done right. Both times I got:

39 Obstruction
changing line 5:"Handling Emergencies"- If confronted by extreme challenge or emergency, your inner will and Spirit will cut like swords through any obstacles. Rest assured you will be taken care of and all will be fine

However it changed to 36 Darkening of the Light


Does that mean I should wait and handle an emergency, or that if I wait, I will experience the Darkening of the Light. Please help right away. Thank you so much

If you look at Wilhelm's translation of the 5th line:
In the midst of the greatest obstructions, Friends come.

Here we see a man who is called to help in an emergency. He should not seek to evade the obstructions, no matter how dangerously they pile up before him. But because he is really called to the task, the power of his spirit is strong enough to attract helpers whom he can effectively organize, so that through the well-directed co-operation of all participants the obstruction is overcome.

I think he will change his mind after you help him in some big way.

It is the law of heaven to make fullness empty and to make full what is modest;
The superior man does the same thing when he establishes order in the world; he equalizes the extremes that are the source of social discontent and thereby creates just and equable conditions.
The Judgment:
