What is my part with my boss and How I am going into my evaluation.

Hi Everyone,
I am a second grade teacher and have always had tremendous confidence in my teaching. My heart has been in the right place and I got a bad review for the first time in my life last year. I am being reviewed again on Wednesday. I got my boss is going into the review with 50 changing into 38. I got that I am going into the review process with 11 changing into 32. I am determined to be professional and treat him with respect no matter how he behaves. I need help with these readings. I know he has stuff going on because I can feel it.

I don't understand the underlined ? You need a clearer question don't you ?

11 changing to 32 sounds like you should have confidence that things can connect up just as they should. You may well have hidden support in the situation (11.1) There are many ways to interpret 11.4, I currently tend to see it as trust your wings to let you fly, don't hover about waiting for things to come to you like a young bird in the nest that actually needs to go seek food,,,but stays in the nest. Have a bit of faith. Hex 11 can be a choppy ride. There is a great flow of creative energy through the situation that may not always be comfortable. However with 32 as the relating hexagram it looks more like change within the current situation. If I were to suggest you take an attitude or persona in with you I think I'd encourage a grown up one, that's willing to try new things, tak emore responsibility and so on ? I am groping in the dark here so take whatever fits.

50>38 ? if you write the change lines in so people don't have to find a pen and draw it to find the change lines you probably would get more answers...let me find a pen.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ah that would be 50.1.3>38

well that looks a very clear picture of wanting a bit of a reshuffle doesn't it. Bear in mind of course his priorities are different to yours (hex 38) but he is trying to cook up something workable (50.3) but it takes time and can be a bit messy and he may need to make some radical changes (50.1)


I'm not at all sure what will happen of course but I think you need to go in with something like a spirit of adventure (11.4) and don't let yourself look or feel feeble. Ride the changes.

This is an opportunity for me to be brave when I want to hide. I plan to play the part of the teacher with confidence and celebration no matter how I feel on the inside. I will do my best to have a long meditation to connect with spirit. I had thrown the coins after a deep meditation. I have always had confidence in my teaching until recently. I still do. I just have experience of him saying I have done things I have not and taking things out of context that I have done. When I see him as a three year old and me as a mom...I am able to receive his advice more evenly. I am new at sharing my hex. I have been working with the I ching for 30 years. I trust spirit and have helpers in the heaven realms that came to my aide last year and will on Wednesday morning. It is just a habit of anxiety.
I threw the coins for my boss and got 50 changing into 38. I realized I have no control over what he does just my own behavior. Then I threw the coins for me since I care more about how I act.

so what are your thoughts on the actual cast ?

No use treating him as a 3 year old if he's your boss and the cast looks like he wants to make changes doesn't it, looking at 50.1 and 50.3 ?

I have been working with the I ching for 30 years.

like I said on the other thread with the same question you must have some of your own ideas about the cast ?

Thanks for the feedback. I was much more focused on my part which is hexagram 11.1.4 >32 that I can control.I really don't have much control over my boss except by being kind, receptive, peaceful and willing to try his ideas whether I agree or disagree. Peace that leads to endurance tells me that due to my inner conviction and willingness to be humble I will endure and be left alone to go about the business of teaching. Through prayer attunement and surrender I will do my best to let 11 turn into hexagram 32 which I see as my calling and home. In other words I will not be fired. I never was going to be fired. What is done is one is made to be so uncomfortable that one quits. I have watched this happen with this man many times. It never occurred to me that it would be done to me. I think given the 50 changing to 38 that he may try something and then will stop.This ends with adversity. So therefore I see myself as being misunderstood. In the end all will be fine because of 32. I just have to do my best to remain calm and peaceful and surrender the results. Ginnie your feedback about hex. 36 helped me to recognize that a very wounded part of me is rearing its head during this process. Trojan now that I know that the Hexagram thrown is not recorded automatically in the thread I will do a better job at writing more down.

I got my review and I was told that now I am extremely affective again and it was a job well done. I laughed and said thank you. I was told that three minutes is too long for seven year olds to talk and write their question on a post it for the passage they had just read. I was proud of them for doing it that quickly...I just hope I can endure this experience and come out the other side stronger. If I remain quiet, respectful and go about the buisness of teaching I am hoping I will be left alone. I still am not sure what the I ching was trying to tell me other than I will find away to make it work and be there for a long time.
