What is the best place for me to volunteer some time to others?

I got 60.1.5 > 7

I am trying to dedicate some time to those less fortunate and am puzzled by this response. Anyone can help me?

It mentions a courtyard outside my door in line 1: "Not going out of the door and courtyard is no error." Does this mean I have to venture further from where I live in London/ Paris?

And what kind of work is represented by no. 60? Sounds a bit like a closed institution but I am just guessing here.

I also asked 'What sorts of people should I help?' and got 46.2.5 > 39. Sounds like children, no?

I'd appreciate your thoughts, as I really want to start volunteering.

Hi Zarah
Hex 60 can be about the limitations that you need to impose on things to get the best out of a situation. At times there can be a sense of less is more. This is sort of saying to me that you should be careful what you take on, where it is and how much time you devote to it. Be clear what it is you are thinking of doing and also look at why. Maybe things that are within your current scope of experience would be best. Then you can structure your world so that you can give the best to it, and achieve the best results for the people you are really wanting to give service to.

Hex 46 - You have the capability to answer this for yourself. if you really want to give service then go for the thing that your heart is drawing you towards. Maybe start small and be more appreciative of how you can help the people that are already around you. Charity begins at home is a wise old adage to walk with with this reading.

Really wanting to begin offering service can be a bit like the question "When is the best time to start planning to climb Mount Everest?" Answer - Today.

Be Well

It is a very nice answer, to Organize Yourself and Set Limits. The limits referred to are meant to be useful, "sweet" limits, limits you can live with. Line 5 especially refers to that.

Line 1 is a little less clear to me; I think it refers to doing something different than your family or close associates might think is proper for you. Stepping away from the "family rooms." So give your imagination and desire free reign of what you might choose, but know and define your limits.

Your answer seems to suggest that now is not the right time to start volunteering as problems will quickly be incurred, therefore, "hold your horses" for a while until you yourself are both better organized and have a realistic plan of action.

The answer that came to my mind is Kenia. Not sure why. Again I did not even look at the reading.
Just jumped at me. Make sure you do all the shots though. And good luck! It's a noble thing to do.

Yes, I once wanted to volunteer as a reader / support person to little kids with AIDS in a hospital in the States. I swore to my mother not to do it, however, being a student and her the caretaker and the provider. I will definitely consider it again but would expect vehement disapproval from the family.

Kenya... my plan in the next 1 to 3 years is to spend a few months in Africa doing microfinance. I read about it some time ago and will most definitely do it before grad school. I somehow always imagined myself in North Africa but who knows ?!
