What should be my approach to the physical and occupational therapy I'll be receiving?

Restore (Recover) by Return(ing)

I had not been able to get around without a rollator (walker w/ a seat) for the last 2 years because of a severe heart valve condition which was replaced (my heart valve) this past Jan. 21st. with surgery.

Now that my heart is fully restored, I am now left with much work to do to restore strength in my legs, which I lost from having to sit most of the time for the past 2 years.

Since my surgery, I've had a PT come in a total of 4 times. They dropp÷d the ball because I guess I wasn't cooperating enough with personal workouts between visits. I am not motivated enough to do the exercises regularly by myself, so there you go.

I saw my surgeon last week and she told me she was setting up a program for me at the local hospital for rehab, but I have heard nothing from the hospital yet.

In the meantime, my home health nurse is discharging me tomorrow into the care of PT & OT, but I'm not sure, as of this writing, whether that will be in my home as before or at the hospital.

The truth is, I want to get better, but I don't want too much responsibility for working by myself on conditioning. I want and need hands on attention. Otherwise, things are not going to change that much, I'm afraid.

I have some thoughts on the reading, but I'd like to save discussion for the gathering, if possible.

Thanks.
