I have an idea of what my readings mean but I am very curious to hear multiple interpretations of the hexagrams as I think they stand up to subjectivity since I believe that subjectivity is a part of nature, which is what the i ching bases its insights on, and also I think it will help me gain a deeper understanding of the hexagrams. So please leave your input.

I asked the very general question. "What should I be focusing on now?" since I my life feels very complicated right now.
I got:

44.1.6 to 43

I read somewhere that 44 is not always negative, that opposites should meet sometimes, "It is necessary for elements predestined to be joined and mutually dependent to come to meet one another halfway. But the coming together must be free of dishonest ulterior motives, otherwise harm will result" from this link
http://www.afpc.asso.fr/wengu/wg/wengu.php?l=Yijing&no=0
but it seems like it is probably negative in my situation since the second hexagram is breaking through.

Then I asked "What is the best action to take in this focus to ensure a good outcome for everyone?"

I asked this twice (not sure why) and first I got
21.1 to 51
and the second one was
50.1 to 14

Then I asked "What situation should I bite/cut through?"

3.1.3.6 to 53

I think I will do a couple more readings on this topic but this is a lot to chew on for the moment. Thanks for your help.

hello.
I think it is hard to comment on this blindly, without knowing what your complications are,
but in general, both 44.1 and 21.1 imply that your ability to act is curtailed, and that it is not necessarily in your best interests to do anything just now.

In 44 > 43, it seems as though you spy a way to break free from constrictions/complications , and perhaps it is real but something holds you back. I would say you need to focus on what ever it is that is crippling to you. It is probably something important and to try to move before you resolve it would not be advised. line 1 and 6 together seem to describe a situation where one is frantic to move and apt to try to override their current capability with disturbing force.

on the other hand, 44> 43 could also advise you to do what you gotta do but know you're not gonna be too well-liked for it by others involved.

21.1 to 51 echoes the lack of capability. It's not your fault, but you are advised that you can't do much right now. And in terms of your question, admitting that you're unable to act right now is the most honest and beneficial course of (non) action for all concerned.

If pushed to give an elaboration, i guess the YI is saying that it's better to start over with a whole new approach or an entirely new project. 50.1 to 14

what do you need to bite through? perhaps the fact that you started something for which you were not prepared, you got lost and now you're 'all dressed up with no where to go'....better to let this develop naturally. 3> 53

Perhaps a bit like this: Get off your high horse, stop wringing your hands, ask for help, and commit yourself to the fact that , if you decide you want to complete what you started, it is going to be a journey, not an immediate gratification.

but since I dont know the particulars of your situation, I am only guessing;)

Well I asked the question in a general way but from what you've said I can only assume that it is about me trying again with an old boyfriend.

Gee, oh my gosh, no, dont treat what I said like a fortune teller!! I was just reading the lines in a general way.....and about thelast part, btw, i wasnt saying that about the "high Horse" in any sarcastic way, only trying to relate the hex 3 lines to your question of what you need to "bite thru." 3.6 is about being on a horse at a standstill, sweating tears of blood. sometimes, FOR ME, it can mean quit hesitating and get going, OR, you have not prepared enough. and line 3 is about asking for help, getting help when lost...etc.

I assumed you had some particular issue in mind because of the 2nd question...best outcome for all concerned.........

If you are confused about lots of issues and you ask the Yi what to focus on, it is very hard to interpret the answer as saying "this" not "that"......better to ask about each issue separately.
the more specific your question , the more specific your answer will be.

all the best, Bamboo
