Hi. I am registering for grad school classes this semester part-time, and unfortunately, it's a nightmare. Given my non-cs background, either the courses are beyond my current computer science programming experience/ability or the professor can be incredibly difficult. I reached out to several alumni/students on LinkedIn to get an idea of the classes and only 1 person responded advising me to avoid taking higher-level classes and to try first getting the more introductory grad classes. Despite the pandemic, the school has a small limited selection of classes, which is quite frustrating. Hence, I am asking the I-ching these questions to help gauge what course I can handle with my full-time job workload as well.

What should I know about staying in this course A? Hexagram 64.
Guess this is saying I am either undecided and that I don't finish it (meaning I drop the class before the bill is due or before the add/drop period). The class is in a language I have not yet learned and has a homework essay, programming assignment, and quiz every week which is why I have my doubts here with the workload.

What should I know about taking the other graduate-level class? Hexagram 46.1 > 11
I think this says to go in with a positive mindset and not let doubts enter my mind. Not sure how hexagram 11 fits into the picture given it means peace - peace of mind? This is the more interesting class to me, but because it could be difficult more me. Unfortunately, the professor still has not posted the syllabus so I have no idea of expectations despite emailing him.

You are writing within the quote of someone else so your answer doesn't appear separate to their question.
This may be a problem where you don't want to appear to be saying what someone else is saying.

You've put French within the quote from someone else only to figure out what he is saying and then all you replied was '46 is the good choice'. It's quite confusing.

Hello Trojina 🧘‍♀️
You make me laugh... So no, I didn't try to manipulate anything, I swear! I actually answered with my phone, which translates wrongly and to the wrong place apparently... Now I use my computer and it's better... Not?
So, regarding 46.1 to 11: don't you think it's a good answer to start a new study project?

Yes much better on computer.

I think you are trying to make us all learn French:)

Regarding the question yes I agree with you that 46.1 looks much more friendly and accessible. It's very reassuring that whatever your experience level you will be welcomed. Also if you are interested you will more enthusiastic and learn better. 64uc is a never ending process. I mean you may not finish or if you do go on you just find you can't really continue. Some ideas and experiences on 64uc click here

This is not to say this is what 64uc always means but here I think 46.1 is a really reassuring answer given your anxieties.

Thanks Trojina. You are right about 46.1 as I emailed the professor and he said any experience is fine. According to other students that took the class, it is supposed to be a little more laid back. As for 64 unchanging, I had decided to drop the class given the workload, expectations, and required me attending class online during my work hours. I guess I divined 64 since the I-ching was reflecting back to me how I felt. I had a some sense that I would be best if I did not take that particular class currently, but now I am starting to doubt the entire degree regarding hexagram 64 as the classes will get significantly harder. I will probably need to consult not only the i-Ching but really the faculty to see how to prepare for courses as I may need to go full time eventually.

Thanks for the response Matali even though it is in French. I tried taking French in high-school and college but felt I could never keep up with conversational French as it was too fast for me haha. I can understand a little bit of what you wrote and I really appreciate your lengthy response. All I remember is random phrases and how to say is Je m'appelle Amit et je suis Canadian. LOL

Merci,
