I was feeling really really frustrated with my inability to make any kind of sense out of a certain hexagram I was working on and so I turned to WikiWing to see what others had said about it. As soon as I started reading Hilary's analysis where she succinctly explains each separate part - the meaning of the image, the importance of the sequence, the significance of the partner hexagram, the story behind each line and finally perhaps most helpful, the real life examples so many have contributed - I immediately calmed down, was reconnected with my own inner knowingness and got what the hex was saying to me.

Anyway, it was so helpful I consulted the I Ching asking "Why does WikiWing work so well?" I got a great answer and I thought I'd share it:

29.2
The chasm has sheer sides. Seek small gains.

Down in the bottom of the pit [Yes! I was in the pits!], you aspire to be out in the open where you belong relating freely and naturally with others [as in being able to understand]. However the chasm [another word for lack of grounding?] has sheer sides and you can't escape it [figure your way out] in a single bound. So don't try to leap to the perfect conclusion or design the whole picture all at once [or try to understand the whole hexagram in one bite] To travel towards that free open space, seek only the small gains that are available to you here and now [at WikiWing]. Travel inward first, and trust your intuition from moment to moment to show the next small step.

Then the hexagram changes to 8. Seeking Union : "recognizing the natural flow and working with it."

Works for me!

The Yi gave me something like this for 29.2: " "When the difficulties are too great, one leaves them to those who know how to handle them."

Does that make sense for you?

Yeah I had the same feeling.
WikiWing is a well of wisdom, collected by everyone (and each opinion has equal weight).

Richmond, h8:
Where we are diverse we have need to complement one another.
Where we need to overcome an obstacle we co-operate.
When divided in ourselves we need to ask for guidance.

Having used Wikiwing for just under 2 weeks now I can say it is an invaluable resource and I plan on staying subscribed to it for some time to come. There are lines I just never understood, even after browsing the shared readings archives and cross referencing books for over a year or so getting acquainted with the Yi, but I was happy to find that wikiwing was able to clear up a lot of confusion about the meaning of those specific lines that I otherwise would have gone on for some time without a real grasp on. There are also some very touching and helpful real life experiences to draw an understanding from as well, so I would definitely recommend it.
