i asked:
when will XXX happen?
53.6 > 39
(its NO romantic relationship question,
lets say its about relationship with my self).

i see the answer more related to HOW it will be...
like a totaly new quality... but the answer was when? ... hmmm

Using the Toltec I Ching version, #53 seems to speak about awakening self-sufficiency and the 6th line change indicates that the change has already begun, just below the threshold of awareness. The resulting #39 indicates that your attention is distracted by entanglements and that once those are "seen through" the presence of the change will be apparent.

whats distracting me?

because the process is more of a "falling away" nature than a "built up" thing...
does it mean i still look for security where no safety is and THATS the distracting thing?

Sometimes the answer to a "when" question can only be answered by contingencies, for example, a child may be told "you may have your desert when you have finished your vegetables". So, the things that look like "how" may represent those contingencies...?

In other words, (if I am reading this correctly) XXX will happen when you move away from "I want to do it all by myself!" to "I think we can do this together!"

masami, yes, i think so. it is not that "comfort and ease" are a bad thing, of course, but they can't be allowed to become the priority that entangles your attention. #52 is a period of tranquility that gives birth to a new direction or greater momentum. moving [#56] or standing still [#52], it is all a pilgrimage to your true self. the way i read it, you have all the inner resources you need to make this journey....
