When to start promoting my free services

I suffer from schizophrenia, it is a full time job to stay sane in a changing world. I am comfortable apart from when I experience paranoid relapses, which have only been but one aspect of my schizophrenia.

Recently I have thought about volunteering some private services to my local community in an effort to move away from being a ward of the state. All services I intend to offer free of charge.

I have made a small website, and am wondering when to take the step of promoting it on the local community forum for my area.

The reading I made is as follows:

1. Hiding in the house. Remorse disappears.

2. When family members talk loudly, there will be remorse. Good fortune comes nevertheless. When women and children giggle loudly, there is humiliation.

If your first line was 37.1 then I’m thinking this line is reflecting your caution in presenting your website to the larger ”family”, the community.
If your second line was 37.3 then I’m thinking this line could mean you are still playing around with your idea and therefore hesitant to put it out there just yet.
If 20. View was your second hexagram it seems to refer to putting the site up for all to see.

As to what this all means as far as to when you should actually launch your site I think you are being advised to consider whether you are being overly cautious (37.1) or maybe you need to check if you’ve made it clear enough what it is you are offering and that this is professional, that you aren’t just fooling around (37.3). Perhaps you should ask a friend to 20. View it first and give you feedback.

Hope this isn't breaking forum rules, my website is www.schoolofrumi.epizy.com, I am of the opinion that practice is the best way to learn, but boastfulness is dangerous, hence lines 1 and 3, I am familiar with all the services that I offer, but the first I have only ever practiced on myself, the second I have practiced professionally when I was younger, and the third I have practiced as an amateur only.

I think the best thing for me to do with the first service is practice here in the shared readings forum, before I think about offering it to my local community.

Maths I can offer anytime, but am in no hurry to find students, as I have outgrown the need to teach it on a formal level for the time being and would much rather engage in research, which of course, students can help facilitate.

Massage is the service I am really keen to practice as my brother says I am not good enough yet, although he keeps asking me to give him more as he finds it therapeutic.

It is interesting to note that 37 - 20 is 17 following. Thank you.

So I divined for the question "should I build up some experience here first before launching my website on my local community forum?" and received hexagram 4 changing line 2.

Thus I will throw the question to the community here, and ask for some more votes from those who have now seen my website.

I would also welcome any divinations by others on the above question and as to whether my mental health state permits me to offer such services at the present time.

From the yi: One has not augmented anyone, some people have even struck them. One's intentions are not consistent. There will be misfortune.

From the jing: He will attain wealth and status, but will develop arrogance with it. He will tend to abuse his power by taking advantage of others and harming those with lesser power. He will receive constant sniping at his wealth and not obtain happiness.

QY, thanks, but I am a bit confused by what you're saying here. First, which of your two readings are you referring to? And who or what do you mean by 'yi' and by 'jing'?

Or, is yi the response to your first question and jing the response to the second question?

And I am curious, in the 'jing' part, you refer to a 'he' and you say 'he' will abuse power, take advantage and harm others and he will not obtain happiness. So, whom is this 'He'? Do you think it's me, who has asked some questions? Or is it you, who shared two readings here and asked for comments? Or no one in particular - and is meant only to represent whomever might be reasding this?

And I'm curious as well, which text or lines or passages from the Yijing is this from, or is it from another source, or is it your interpretation/understanding of what the Yi is conveying to us?

I think the 37.1.3 reading makes a lot more sense regarding schizophrenia and mental ill-health when you consider the inverse. Hexagram 37 isn't very schizoid. But flip it upside down, and you get the strange orphan of 38.4.6, the disconnect of fire over water. And it's clearer that this is about having all your ducks in a row.

Walls define your own personal space and shelter you from a changing world: You need to have a very clear idea of where you fit, of your role in the community. Know your unique strengths and what you have to offer. And you need to be comfortable and secure in your own skin, or your position within the larger structure.

You also need to be in complete control of your thoughts and behaviors (line 3), which means keeping the different aspects of your scizophrenia in line. It also means sharing the same wavelength with others and being able to react and respond appropriately, in concert with the demands of the moment. So that when someone asks for your personal interpretation of the oracle reading shared, you don't respond by quoting the text of an entirely different passage (that's top line of hexagram 42 by the way: the Yi is the Zhou Yi, and though I don't recognize the second quotation I presume the Jing is the Ten Wings). What you have in mind to do is going to require more connectedness (37) than disconnect (38). Not being playful when the mood of the room is serious.

You asked about when to take a certain step, but it seems like you are more eager to know what you can do right now. Maybe that's what you should ask the oracle?

There are many ways to consult the yi and all masters have innovated their own methods, I don't think quoting 42 line six was out of order, it followed directly from my interpretation of what was written. However I agree with the sentiments in your post completely. I have often said, "there are so many people in my head" which is how I interpret hexagram 37. For me hexagram 37 is to be avoided as it is the quickest way to schizophrenic relapse. Thank you.
